Chapter four
Heil Corps was dreaming. She was dreaming a very pleasant dream. She dreamed she was in a green field and it was near dawn and she was very happy. She has no idea why she’s feeling like that. The wind blowed and her blue green hair obeyed and swayed happily, following the wind’s pattern. She looked around and saw a big, old tree and a bench chair behind. The sun was slowly going down, making the place orange.
It was strangely nostalgic.
Heil knows she’s been here, but she doesn’t know when or why she was there. The memory was very faint that, if the years past by, she will no longer remember anything about this place. But still, she was very happy. She looked at her clothes and she was surprised she was wearing the dress she wore when she had her 5th birthday and she was also surprised that it still fits. The dress was color peach, sleeveless, it was above the knee long and it was so pretty. She touched her neck to check if the choker was there and it is. She was barefooted and the grass under her feet makes her feel like someone’s massaging her.
Minutes pass by and she’s just staring at the sun and she felt satisfied. Like an idiot, she swayed around and around and she’s laughing like crazy. She can’t help it, the happiness was overflowing from her heart.
She stopped playing, panting hard. She decided to sit by the bench when she noticed a boy, a little older than her, sitting on the bench. The boy was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants and he was also barefooted. The boy has the same color of her hair and her eyes. If she has a breathtaking beauty then what more if the boy has the same looks? He was looking straight ahead and he was looking sad. His look was like he lost something very important to him. Heil sat beside him and looked at him. She was still panting but not the hard. The boy looked at her.
“You look happy, Heil.”The boy told her, slightly smiling.
The boy look familiar to Heil, but she doesn’t know where or when she saw him. For unknown reason, she felt like she has to smile to the boy so she did. The boy saw her smile so he smiled back, this time his smile was full but his eyes were still sad and distant. Heil noticed the boy was looking sad. When the boy smiled, Heil suddeny thought he was very important to her. But the thought faded. Heil was frustrated, she was about to grasp something but it faded. It irritates her. The boy was still looking at her. Heil’s irritation slowly faded and she looked at the boy.
“What’s your name?” Heil asked, just to break the growing ice. Ignoring the fact that the boy knew her name. She wiped the sweat on her forehead with the hem of her dress.
“That was unladylike of you, Heil. Why do you want to know my name?” the boy commented and asked the same time. He stretched his legs and stared far away.
“I don’t know. Maybe I want to know your name because you look sad?” Heil replied. She scratched his elbow because it’s itchy.
“Sad? Not really.” He told her. He looked at her in the eyes with his green mellow ones and Heil almost grasp the memory about him but it faded again. Heil sighed in frustration. “My name is Khiel and I’m guessing you don’t remember me.”
‘Khiel? That name really sound familiar. But I don’t know why I can’t remember him’ Heil thought. Her face was puzzled and it made her look adorable. More adorable.
“You look cute with that face, Heil” Khiel commented and he smiled. But his smile can’t reach his eyes.
“What face? And why don’t I remember you? You seemed so important to me.” Heil asked. Sweat trickled down her foredhead and she didn’t care to wipe it. What more important to her is to know who he is and what he means to her. Heil thought she knew everything about her own life but she was wrong. If she know everything about her own life then why can’t she remember Khiel?
