"best friend huh?"
"get used to it, you're going to be hearing a whole lot more of my tragic backstory that you'd like to know."
*p a u s e* "see that guy? in the blue sweater?"
"first of all, anybody who wears blue sweaters is a complete stuck up-"
"you were wearing one the other day. i remember, i was there."
"you know just because i'm helping you confront some petty pretty boy from your past does not mean you can continue to sass me. i deserve respect."
"sure you do."
"HEY BRIAN!"
"what. the. HELL."
"hey matt! hey analyn, how are things? long time no see, right?"
"hey... things are great. how are you and brooklyn?"
"we're doing really well, yeah our three year anniversary is next week."
"that's nice."
*c o u g h* "what analyn means is congratulations guys, three years is a long time."
"it really is. i'm just glad i got to spend them with her. hey babe!" *s m o o c h*
"hi! hey analyn."
*c l e n c h e s f i s t* "hi brooklyn. you feeling better?"
"yeah, i'm totally fine, thanks for yesterday, i was really feeling under the weather."
"yeah... glad you're feeling better babe."
"you okay dude? you seem a bit nervous."
"i'm totally fine. well i should get going, it was good seeing you again analyn, we should definitely catch up sometime, it's been awhile."
"BULL$#!%"
"analyn, are you okay?"
"no. i'm sick and tired of bottling up my feelings and playing sick games. look brian, it's been three years since you basically ditched me for brooklyn, after you promised that we would stick together during high school and get through this together. you left me to fend for myself in this sick, sick world, and quite frankly i am sick and tired of constantly being afraid of you. you caused me emotional trauma, and you know that at home with my parents i have no other outlet to express emotion. i'm sorry that i'm dumping all of this on you right now, you probably don't even care for what i'm saying, but it's been really hard. i just need some closure for once in my damn life so that i can move forward and let go of the space in my heart that i've kept all these years, hoping that you would come back."
"wow, annie i had no id-"
"don't. call me that."
"analyn, i'm so sorry. i had assumed that when we got to high school we would part. i met brooklyn at orientation and i think we clicked right away, i had no idea you felt that way. i'm so sorry. with my first drama production freshman year i was overwhelmed, and you were nowhere in my thoughts due to stress of high school. i'm sorry."
"to think that for three years i could have gotten the same bs answer when we first got here and i wouldn't have been holding on to a selfish person as my childhood best friend. thank you for telling me how you feel, i have the closure that i need."
"analyn, i think we should go-"
"one more thing. sorry matt. thank you brian. you've showed me how immature we as people can truly be. that rather than practicing common courtesy, or being straightforward with our feelings, we choose to play games and expect the other person to do the right thing. i'm done." *w a l k*
"i love you, and that was badass as hell, but you are so petty."
"i know, it's a gift. grudges are kind of my thing. no matter, now i am zen analyn. i will not hold onto petty grudges and i will be direct with my intentions, because being indirect takes way too long-"
"three years" *c o u g h*
"...and in the end isn't efficient. if anyone suffering from the boy theory learns this quite frankly they will get closure and all of this will be over."
"i'm proud of you analoser. to celebrate we shall go to starbucks and get a trenta!"
"only if you're buying."
"of course, best friend. you're worth it."
