Chapter sixteen: The sunrises and I fall

Pervously on 'I am a Superhuman':

"I wanted to give you a promise ring." He looked at me. "Alexis Tomas, I promise you that you will be the only girl that I look at in a special way. I will love you always."

A tear fell down my cheek.

"Oh Lexy." Ross wiped away my tear. "Don't cry, because then I'm going to cry and then we'll both be a mess. And I have to look manly."

I laughed.

"Ross, You man child. Thank you." I huggd him. "And I love you to."

I could feel him smile.

I looked up at him.

Then I kissed him.

We kissed until we heard a roar of thunder, then we heard a loud banging at the frount door.

Me and Ross both turned toward his bedroom door.

We looked at each other confused.

"Stay here." Ross said walking off toward the door.

I heard his foot steps down the stairs, then. I heard the door open.

"Ratliff, Tom!" Ross yelled. "For goodness sakes call once in a while!"

"Sorry." I heard Tom say. "We were in a rush."

"Why?" Ross asked.

"Alexis' mom came over, told us to go to your house and help take care of Alexis. Where is she by the way?" Rattlif explained.

"Upstairs." Ross said.

I walked out of the room and down the stairs to see all three boys talking.

Ratliff and Tom where in full black. Only their hands and face weren't covered.

They both were waring rain coats.

"So she lives." Ratliff said taking off his rain coat and hugging me.

I smiled.

"Just a bit. I might be half dead." I joked.

"That is a possibility." Ratliff joked back.

I laughed.

"Is that it?" Ross asked.

"Is what it?" Tom replyed.

"That you two are here for? To watch over Alexis?" He stepped toward Ratliff. "Because I don't need any help. I have this under controll."

"Oh and how would you do that? Mr. Under controll." Ratliff shot back.

Ross stepped closer, angry.

I got between then, placing a hand on Ross' chest.

"Enough" I said looking at Ross.

He still looked at Ratliff, then at me.

He sighed and backed off.

I looked at Ratliff.

"And you." I said pointing toward him. "You need to lay off. He's only doing this for me."

"Oh yeah?" Tom butted in. "And how is that working? His powers are so strong his emotions could take them over."

"Oh and your perfect?" I snapped.

"Well, I'm quite better then your boyfriend. Tom snapped back taking a step toward me.

"Enough Tom." Ross said coming toward us.

"You two should leave." I said to Ratliff and Tom.

"Fine." Ratliff waved me off while grabbing his coat. "We'll leave."

Both him and Tom grabbed their coats and left, into the blazing storm outside.

"Those jerks!" Ross yelled punching a wall. "They think they can come and help, pick a fight, and then leave!"

He paced bath and forth, fist clenched.

"Ross calm down." I said.

He looked at me. The same fire burning in his eyes the last time Ratliff came over and made Ross mad.

"Just calm down." I said.

"Calm down! You want me to freaken calm down!" He yelled.

Making me jump back.

"Ross, don't make me hurt you." I said looking him straight in the eyes.

He looked at me, the fire burning down to a blue.

He nodded looking away from me.

He walked off to his room, slamming his door shut.

I sat in the livng room, watching TV by my self since Ross was still mad.

He had been like this all night.

Dawn was just starting to break.

I heard him smash somethings here and there. But nothing else.

I had a restless night.

Between the thunder, and Ross' anger issues, I didn't even get a wink of sleep.

I layed on the couch, watching some soap opera that I just switched to.

I decided to go outside and take a walk to clear my mind.

I grabbe some jacket from Ross' closet and went out.

The sun was just staring to rise.

The sky was full of deep purples, blues, a light red and orange.

It was breath taking.

Well partly that, but I also missed a step on the stairs.

You know who that feels right? Going down stairs and having a mini heart attack from missing a step? Yeah, that's what happened.

I walked down some streets looking at the houses in the sun rise.

I smiled at the world.

At least how good it was in a moment.

I walked back to Ross' house.

I walked in.

The TV was still off of when I turned it off.

"Ross?" I called out.

Nothing.

I went up the stairs, checked in every room.

He was gone.

I paniced.

I checked the yard, kitchen, living room, his room.

Every place I could think of in my confused and racing mind.

Then it hit me.

He was gone, and I had no idea what time he was cming back, or where he was.
