Part 8:"Childhood friend"

Drake's POV

A week passed since Mister Jepps died.

School is going to open up again.

Few days ago we went to Mr.Jepps funeral.

His wife and his family was there.

I approached her wife.

"Condolences mam.Can i ask something?."

she turned to me.

"What could that be?."

"Its about Mr.Jepps.Can i ask what happened last year ago and the death of your daughter?."

"Ah,You must be Drake.Im sorry for what my husband did to you?."

"No problem Mam.Why was he so angry with me?."

"Well,I think the fact that she last talked to you made you his primary suspect."

"Is that true? Umm what could be the connection with me and Lorelei before she died?."

"Oh,you probably dont remember since you got amnesia.Will you listen to my story?."

"Please do.Im all ears."

"Very well,You and my daughter used to be the best of friends.Ever since you were kids,you two were always together.You could say that you two were close to a couple's relationship."

"I remember seeing our old pictures in my house.I didnt know i had someone like her as a friend."

"Yes,but she had a secret she couldnt tell you.a secret that might break your friendship."

"What was that secret?."

"When you two reached high school,Lorelei was a bit energetic when she is with you.she would also sometimes daydream about you while eating."

"Then did she confess to me one day?."

"Im afraid not.She was scared that she would get rejected and have your friendship ruined."

"Then she didnt actually confessed to me to keep our friendship."

"Actually,She talked about it to me one day.she asked me what she would do with her feelings.I told her to face her fears and confess to you."

"So what happened next?."

"She left the next morning saying thanks and that she will confess to you."

"Did i reject her?."

"Sad to say but i dont really know what happened next."

"Why?."

"She didnt came back after a week she talked to you.We called the police to find her.They also said that you dont know anything about what happened to her.I thought that she was rejected by you but she wont do something like running away."

"So she was then found at the back of our school."

"Yes.Me and my husband were overcomed with grief.Peter thought you killed her but i honestly dont think that you killed her since you two were like siblings."

"Im really sorry mam.If i only remember."

"No,dont blame yourself dear.its not your fault."

"Thank you mam,i guess ill take my leave."

"Feel free to come to us to visit her."

"I will."

Lorelei Jepps was Drake's childhood friend and bestfriend.

Lorelei was in love with Drake but couldnt admit it since she was scared of ruining their friendship.

She was about to confess to him but she suddenly dissappeared.

After a week,she was found buried with multiple stab wounds.

One thing's for sure,It wasnt Drake who killed her.
