Ruby x Sapphire (Garnet): ConFUSION

Prologue

*WARNING! MAJOR ASS SPOILERS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED "THE ANSWER" YET*

Prologue

Sapphire stared in horror as Ruby was about to be captured by other homeworld gems. Blue diamond was planning on giving another lashing to the Ruby but could not because of  Sapphire, being so overwhelmed and fear for the first time, grabbing the 'accidental rebel' and running towards the edge of the cloud arena.

She took a large leap and landed herself and Ruby on the ground as gently as she could. As Sapphire was calming herself, Ruby was in a heap of frustration and ConFUSION (I should just kill myself for these puns.😆) She looked at Sapphire and started questioning things.

"WHY'D YOU DO THAT?! I HAVE TO GET YOU BACK UP THERE!" Ruby yelled.

Sapphire shook again and answered hesitantly, "The...they were gonna break you..."

"Who CARES?! There's TONS of me!"

Ruby groaned in frustration, looking at the rainy scenery before her. Mountains and hills shaped the land and no sign of a way back up was within sight.

"Ggrrr...AHH! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO NOW?!"

Sapphire couldn't speak. She couldn't find anything to say. For the first time in her life, she didn't know what to do except be still...and wait.

While she stood still in shock, she didn't notice the ice forming just beneath her dress. Ruby did though and pulled her upright and carried her (bridal style *insert Lenny Face*) to a nearby cave.

"Alright. This should be good for now." Ruby said before checking the area for any potential threats.

Sapphire took a seat and watched as Ruby stood at the entrance. The need to thank her body guard crept at her and she couldn't help but brush her bangs back and reveal a shining, ice blue, eye.

Ruby didn't know why but she found this traight of Sapphire's quite...attractive (another Lenny Face)

"Thank you."

A small blush crossed Ruby's cheeks as flames began to burst from her feet. She eventually felt this and moved out of the way.

The two gems set up camp and tried to warm up even if they really didn't need to.

"What kind of Ruby am I supposed to be?!...Look at this!...It's all my fault you're stranded here!...How am I gonna save you?"

Sapphire shrugged at this and tried to offer the conFUSED (god damn*t...) gem some peace of mind. "You already did."

Ruby was lost. "What?!"

"You already saved me."
