Chapter 10: Stalker.

I was discharged out of the hospital this following week because of my hand, which I stupidly fell on. But that wasn’t something I worried about now, Daniel was acting weird with me. Whenever he would visit, he would have that weak smile on his face as if he was hiding something from me. And he indeed, was hiding things from me. I knew he was, there was no denying it. At first, I left him be, maybe he would tell me what is happening that he has to hide from me? I waited, until today.

They said curiosity killed the cat, but I’m not a cat so that doesn’t affect me…I think.

I was sitting on my bed, scrolling through Facebook until I couldn’t take it anymore. Jordan must know something, he must. Dialling his phone number, I waited three beeps until he finally answered.

‘Tyler? What’s up, man?’

‘I have a few things to ask you, and I hope you won’t hide anything from me.’

There was a pause, and I heard him shuffle on something.

‘…Sure,is everything okay?’

‘Yeah yeah, just…Dan has been acting..off..with me.’

He sighted and I heard him mumble something to himself that was a blurry to my own hearing.

‘Look..I can’t say anything right now, just bare with it okay?’

‘Oh, so Daniel IS hiding something from me.’

‘I never said that.’

‘Yes you did.’

‘No I did not.’

‘Dude, just tell me okay?’

I pleaded, feeling my chest tighten at the fact that Jordan was acting really seriously, and he never is serious. Well, 99% of time he’s not. Only when it comes to Robin.

There was another pause and then his bead creaked.

‘I only know as much as you do, that Dan has been acting off, he’s been like this with everyone. Even with his own parents, and they’re quite close with each other.’

Hm…that’s true. So something bad must be happening. Was he bullied? Nah, nobody would bully Dan. Did someone threaten him? Nah, he didn’t have any enemies.

‘Ty? You still there dude?’ he asked worriedly.

I smiled and breathed in a big lump of oxygen before answering.

‘I need your help.’

‘Anything for you.’ He chuckled, which made me chuckle back.

‘So this is the plan…’

For the next hour we spoke about our plan, what will happen and where we will go. We were going to stalk him and see where he goes, there was only another week until the spring break and I wasn’t going to let anything bring everyone down when we were supposed to stay somewhere far away without our parents. I and Jordan were going to meet up in my house in 10 minutes and none of the girls were allowed to know.

I put my grey hoodie on top of my red band t-shirt and black skinny jeans, my VANS were on my feet already as I grabbed my house keys, phone and wallet out of the dark book shelf.

‘Honey! Jordan’s here to see you!’ I heard my Mum shout from downstairs, closing my bedroom door I skipped down the stairs, nearly falling over.
