Chapter 5- A Horrible Shock

They soon reached Granny’s house. They saw Sheila gardening usually. They asked Sheila where Granny was. Suddenly, she started weeping; the children looked at each other in alarm. Clara knelt down to Sheila and asked, “Sheila, what happened? Has something happened to Granny? In between her sobs, Sheila explained that poor Granny had a major stroke and was in the ICU in Good Health Hospital. Eve started crying, Paul put his arm around his sister and said in a half shocked half disappointed voice, “Why didn’t Mum and Dad tell us?” Before they took off, Clara asked Sheila asked a map of Red Rock Island. Sheila was a bit surprised by this sudden request but gave the map to her. “Sheila, if you don’t mind, can you tell us where Granny lived before here?” asked Julian. “Oh! We lived in Red Rock Island” came the reply. “Red Rock Island!” exclaimed Julian. “Do you remember where you lived?” “We lived in Purple Sans area, Blueberry street, Villa #1078.” Sheila answered. “Does anyone live there anymore?” “No! The John’s till own it. Though, before we left, they buried someone in our back yard but never told us who. ” Answered Sheila. “Wait, did you just say buried.” Asked Eve. Sheila nodded. Suddenly, Paul jumped and said “OMG! Clara, isn’t our hotel nearby?” Clara looked thoughtful. “I vaguely do remember. Right, but its Strawberry Street.” Julian snickered hearing the weird types of street names in the island. “We better get going now guys!” said Eve. “Thank you Sheila for all your help” Sheila waved goodbye at them and went back to her gardening. Over the next few days, the children visited Granny. She was getting better and better day by day. Soon Wednesday was around the corner, the kids were already packed at were waiting anxiously for Wednesday to arrive. Finally, Wednesday came, and excitement has filled the kids. They were off on their own! How magnificent!
