Julian sat down and just as he was going to open the package, the room service man came with the hot chocolate. Eve went and opened the door; she took the drinks and kept it on the dresser. When she came back into the room, Julian, Clara and Paul, all three of them were gaping at the package. Suddenly, Paul’s phone rang. “Hello! Hey Dad! Wassup! What are you saying? Well there’s still one week left for us to return. Can you guys hold the funeral until then? OK, fine bye.” Paul hung up the phone with his hands trembling. “The photo is right, it’s not a prank! Sheila is dead; the police are saying it’s a murder.” “Wait, what picture?” asked Eve. Clara, who recovered from the shocking news faster than Paul and Julian, told Eve that the package had a picture of Sheila with them and there was a red cross on Sheila and behind the picture it was written, Clara gulped. Julian continued, “It was written ‘RING RING GOT THE NEWS. YOU ARE NEXT!’ As Eve was only 11 she started crying, Paul went and hugged his sister and tried to control the sobbing Eve. Clara chimed in and said, “On a brighter note, Dad said ND has been in the island for almost 20 years now. Maybe we could ask him some questions without telling him. Julian replied, “Yes, I suppose we could ask him, but my instinct is telling me that I should follow him tomorrow night!” “Why?” yelled Paul and Clara at the same time. “I’ll tell you later, all this mystery has gotten me hungry! Let’s go and have dinner” exclaimed Julian. The children put on their hats and coats and went to the 5 –star hotel for dinner to ‘Ruth Chris’s Steak House’. The 4 children had their meals, went for a stroll and were on their way to the hotel, when Julian remembered there was a shortcut through the forest to the hotel. The kids diverted their route and were near the big oak tree, when an arrow was shot out nowhere, the arrow was aimed towards Eve, who luckily for her ducked to pick up a star-shaped design. The beige-color arrow hit the oak tree and attached was a note. Paul went up to the arrow and unattached the note and read it out loudly.

WATCH OUT

YOU ARE IN DANGER!

Clara took the note and stuffed into her messenger bag. Eve stood frozen, glued to the ground. Julian went and hugged her and tried to assure her telling her that she was safe. Paul had gone to the bushes to see if the person who aimed the arrow at his sister was still there or did that person leave a trail. Clara said, “Is this news supposed to reach Vircole?” “Of course NOT!” roared Paul. “It will make Mum and Dad and Uncle and Aunt go into theatrics!” The children slowly walked back. They brushed and called it a night.
