After several months of an emotional relapse, Ris decides that it's time to stop wasting her life moping about for a man who will never love her like she hoped. Learning that he has a family makes her realize there's no future for them, thus allowing her to move on easier. But the reality is—she's not ready to part ways.

A blanket of obscurity sheaths the sky, leaving a hopeless Ris to aimlessly lurk the quiet streets for a reason that is fathomless.

The raw precipitation hits her bare skin, producing a ray of goosebumps along her exposed skin. Her thoughtless ass forgot to stuff her travel sized umbrella into her purse, but she didn't think she would need it.

Trying to get over an ex was harder than she expected it to be.

She stands underneath an awning refusing to get wet as she waits a for a cab. Throwing her arms wildly in the air, she sees one abroad.

One can only assume that the cab driver cannot see her figure, even though, her torso is cloaked in fabric fiery as the sun. The driver continues on as if she's invisible. Each cabbie passes by her figure as if she's being blockade by something statuesque, when there's only two cars parked in front of her and each a cars length apart. There's no excuse as to why the cabs aren't stopping tonight, but they are.

Her oculars ascend towards the sky taking in its drab hue and the falling droplets pelting against the concrete; she becomes vexed as another cab passes by. It leaves her frustrated and annoyed. She places her attention on another cab—she stomps her stiletto in a puddle angrily when it too whizzes passed. Some of the water splashes on her dress as well as the gentleman standing quietly beside her.

"Fuck!" He curses, jumping back from her sudden movement. His pant leg is saturated.

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you standing there." She apologizes, stepping closer to the tall gentlemen, hoping he would see that she didn't mean him no harm. "I've been out here for almost a half hour now trying to catch a cab and its frustrating because I left my umbrella home, and I'm so cold." She says to him, rambling on about her troubles. "I'm tired and I just want to go home." She concludes, releasing her breath.

The gentleman sympathizes by stepping out from under the awning and opens his umbrella walking to the edge of the curb and lifts his hand in the air. The driver presses on the brakes bringing the car to an immediate standstill. How convenient? She thought, as the gentleman stood holding his umbrella out for her to step under. She takes a hold of his extended hand so that she can step over the puddle to get in the car. He moves aside while holding the door open for her and slides in after, once she's on the far end of the cab.
