Chapter 10
Luke's p.o.v

*The next day*

After being whipped senselessly , all i could remember was Kaitlyn saying "Lukey baby I'm not as bad as Maria... I won't kill your only queen."  Then I dozed away. I woke up in a jump. I was sitting in the darkness but i was no longer in the space I was when i fell asleep. The lights was flicked on by Kaitlyn's mom , Mrs. Gulper ( Yes i know Gulper ... it's a weird name 😂)

Mrs. Gulper: "Omg why are you in my attic?" She gasped.
Luke: "Your daughter trapped me here!!!"
Mrs. Gulper: "What?!! Let me help you out!"
She ran to untie my hands from the back of me when Kaitlyn entered. She shouted "Touch him and I will shoot you!" As she raised her gun slowly. Her mother slowly backed away from me.
Mrs. Gulper: "You would never shoot your mother now ... would you."
Kaitlyn: "You're not my real fucking mother anyways!"
Mrs. Gulper: "What do you mean?"
Kaitlyn: "I know I'm fucking adopted... You can't  hide it from me forever!"

The entire place grew silent. I broke the silence by saying i would do anything to just leave. Everyone still never said anything.

Maria's p.o.v

I woke up and headed straight to the bathroom to shower and get dressed.  After I was finished I went down stairs but I didn't feel the need to eat. I headed straight out the door and to my current best friend house , Emma. She helped me try getting a new date but no one was like Luke. He was very special to me but i didn't want to go back with him because of what he did to me. I decided to leave her house and go walking in the park when i saw Marky , Luke's best friend.

Mark: "Hey Mariaaaaaa!!!" I looked in his direction.
Maria: "Yes Mark." I walked to him, meeting him halfway.
Mark: "Have you seen Luke?"
Maria: "No. Why?"
Mark: "It's just i haven't seen him for the past few days."
Maria: "Oh well i don't know... We broke up."
Mark: "How??!!"
Maria: "He cheated :("
Mark: "Well forget about that loser ... I have a party at my house tonight. You should come and bring Emma."

I nodded in response. I immediately texted Emma and told her. She told me she wasn't able to go because she had exams the next day so i decided to skip this one if my best friend wasnt going.

*At home*

I laid on my bed thinking to myself what Luke could be doing right now. I found it weird that he never even talked to his own best friend. I called Kaitlyn hoping she would know where Luke was. I'm not gonna lie the conversation was kinda awkward.

*On the phone*

Kaitlyn: "Hi Gulper's residents. How may i help you?"
Maria: "Waw you're so modest" I rolled my eyes.
Kaitlyn: "I'm sorry but who is this?"
Maria: "Kaitlyn drop the act it's Maria."
Kaitlyn: "Or it's this bitch... What do you want?"
Maria: "I just wanna know if you saw Luke after the incident?"
Kaitlyn: "Uhh.... *2 mins of silence* No."
Maria: "What was that 2 mins of silence for?"
Kaitlyn: "Mind ya own fucking business bitch. Anyways good luck finding your little boyfriend."
