Everything was more quieter without someone around to question. Well, that's what Connie thought after Sapphire left her to continue alone. It wasn't very far by her knowledge, but she couldn't be so sure. All the Puzzles she went pass were not even completed by her. Most were avoided or tinkered. Connie thought to herself about all the others maybe becoming the same. So she continued walking.
Minutes passed in the quiet. It was very off for Connie. She lived in many loud places, but nothing never was this soft in volume. She thought of these caverns like a deserted home, thirsty for conversation or something involving action. Maybe the beings around relied on Sapphire to quench the silence...All these thoughts hurt Connie's head. Why must she live in a location like this? All thoughts paused when something came her way.
Connie went into a halt. The creature wasn't even as tall as her legs. It was shoe sized, like a Cat sized Larve, spikes shooting out of it's armored back. It's eye even looked like a machine, gaze like a focused camera.
The beast swiped a look at Connie, then quickly leaped at her chest. Connie flipped back in the weight of the thing and freaked out immediately. It's heavy body couldn't be lifted, the spikes didn't make any of it better. They stung like 20 hornets after losing a home. The panic swelled in Connie's gut, she had to act fast. She grabbed anything in her pockets and threw them.. the crystal creature spun to identify what she threw and bee-lined to the item.
The relief and pain flooded into Connie, she quickly sat up to see what it was doing to the item. The loot was apparently a Lion Licker she found in one of the room's candy bowls. The thing appeared to be satisfied with her bribe and crawled away with the frozen item. And after the pause of thrill, the thoughts came back like flies.
How much longer will this be?..Where do I even go anymore?
Connie then bumped into a person lying on the floor..
