Aaron woke up dazed. His vision blurry. A large croak emitted next to his ear.
"W-what..?" Groaned Aaron. He shook his head and looked up. He saw some kind of winged form skittering along the walls of some kind of stone room. Decorated with an assortment of banners, skulls, metal rods and cages. And torches dotted around the dark grey room.
"That creature from the river... what in the.." he whispered.
The creature looked spider-like. Yet it wasn't at the same time. It had old leathery brown skin that flapped around. Six limbs with gigantic talons on them like scimitars. With folded wings on its back.
It had no eyes. It's mouth was a mass of tentacles and horrifying pincers.
It screeched loudly again. Making Aarons ears literally bleed. He screamed in pain and tried to get up.
But was jolted down by some kind of force.
Aaron grunted in pain and groaned. "H-hello..? Anyone there... Father..? Help!" He yelled.
The creature screeched again. It's sinewy form leaped down at the boy and crouched on tip of him. It's mass of pincers and tentacles flailing in front of Aaron.
Aarons ears ringed and he groaned. Tossing his head back away from the monster. "H-help!" He screamed.
Then a bolt of lighting shot out of nowhere to the right of Aaron. The creature yelped as crackling blue and white fire streaked past his chest and hit the monster in the chest.
The creature screeched again and jumped backwards. Smacking against the stone wall and skittered away into the shadows.
"Dammit Taibeth! Leave my toys alone!" Came a low, rough voice. It was barely a whisper. It was cold. With no emotion or warmth. It pierced Aarons skin like icicles. Making him shiver with fear.
A dark hooded form floated to his right. A cold aura enveloped the poor boy. The man thing loomed over and whispered eerily.
"Hello Aaron." It said and Aaron blacked out.
