Before you read the chapter, I just wanted to say sorry for taking such a long break. I'm going to try to upload much sooner. It may feel like I'm rushing some chapters, but I have my reasons.
On that note, enjoy!

"Here you go, miss. Enjoy your flight!"
"You too, thanks." My awkward meter is now at a ten. No, screw that, a hundred. She isn't even getting on the flight. Ugh, whatever.
I walk out of the line with my boarding pass and two suitcases in each hand. Gate 10. Alright, not too far from here, just have to go through security and then I can get on my flight.
Thirty minutes later, I'm in a line for flight 3001. I pull out my phone to check any messages. Oh who am I kidding, I pulled out my phone because I have nothing better to do. I don't even have anything to do on my phone, so I turn it off.
"Excuse me miss, do you mind moving up?" An older woman, about sixty, looked up and asked.
That's when I realized the large gap between me and the next guy. No wonder the line wasn't moving.
"Um, yeah, sorry."
"Oh, no problem dear. Just lost in thoughts, I understand."
Moving up, I was now much closer in line. That woman seemed nice, but a little creepy. Well, all old people have a mysterious side to them. It's like they know what is happening in your life, but they weren't actually there. Wierd.
"Pass, please."
I hand the guy my boarding pass. He scans it and hands it back to me. I then start walking in the bridge between the airport and airplane. I always forget the actual name of it, but you get the idea.
Luckily, I have a first-class seat on my trip. Let's just say that my parents believe money is equivalent to love. As I get comfy in my seat, all my luggage stowed, headphones on, I start working on my music. I also love writing songs, but I only show them to my close friends. Or I guess, ex-best friends too. Faintly, I hear the safety guidance demonstration, but I ignore it.
Five hours and two songs later, the plane lands in New York City. I get some food from an airport cafe and head to the baggage claim. Once I have all of my luggage, I go to the cab that I rented beforehand and get in. Next stop, Julliard.
I was here once for a campus tour, but it's different this time. For starters, I had a best friend before, now I don't. Shit Skye, she's not even important anymore. Now, I'm actually going to school here. It's not high school anymore. High school was fun, but it's now tainted by recent events. It would be really nice if I didn't think about that for a while.
Entering the dorm hall, I find my room, 204. I don't know who my roommate is, but I enter anyways. I look around for any signs of another person. Seems like it's just me for now. I relax on the couch for a couple minutes and pull out my phone. One percent. Great, now I have to find my charger before it runs out of battery. Grabbing my charger, I charge my phone and play a game. Just as I was about to switch the game, the door unlocks. I see a girl, a little shorter than me, with dirty blonde hair. She's wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap over her head.
"Hi, you must be my roommate. I'm Skye, nice to meet you."
"Hey. My name's Brianna, but just call me Bri, or B, or Anna, or Anne, or whatever you want to call me. I don't really mind."
Wow, ok. She seems nice. A little bubbly, but that's fine.
"Haha, okay Bri, or B, or whatever, I'll find a nickname, don't worry. Need help with your luggage?"
