*Hello people who are reading this, thanks for reading the story and I know it's not perfect but I am writing as I go. If you want to leave reviews or comments, that could be very helpful. Now onto the story.*
~20 minutes later~
"So let me get this straight your 'trainer' abandoned you because you don't like his rules and daydream a lot?" I said in confusion. 'Yup and left me under this bridge to not embarrass his family' the Pokémon thought as it was munching on the pokeblocks I gave it. The poor thing was starving and even I wouldn't let a Pokémon go hungry even if I dislike them. 'By the way why didn't you ran off that I'm kinda speaking with you'*meow* it thought back. I thought for a moment and responded "For starters you saved me from falling, second you were hungry and just because I dislike Pokémon doesn't mean I'll be mean to them and let one starve." I said sorrowfully and it look back at me. 'But I'm a Pokémon and you don't seem to dislike me?' " True but for some reason us 'talking' for a while and I seem to find no reasons to dislike you even if you're a Pokémon" to which it smile and purred next to me.So I took out my pokedex out to see what Pokémon it is.
Espurr the Restraint: type Psychic
It has enough psychic energy to blast everything within 300 feet of itself, but it has no control over its power."So you're an Espurr? That's interesting and here says you're apparently female, am I right?" It or she blushed and nodded. "So espurr what are you going to do now, I mean you can't survive in this condition" I ask worried 'Don't know but I'll manage' she said after finishing all the blocks and was heading back to the den. 'You know, you're actually the only one that was ever nice to me. To which I thank you, also there's a town near by that you could make it.' The points to the bridge, 'Just the other side of this bridge.'
"Thanks, well... take care." I waved goodbye to espurr as I begin climbing my way up when I had this nagging feeling in my head 'I can't leave her, she'll certainly die from the cold' said my brain 'But what else can I do?' I replied back. Then I remembered the bag 'No I can't, I mean she's nice and all but I can't take care of a Pokémon' 'But what the harm in taking her along?' 'But at home they will never let me hear the end of it' 'So, she's in trouble and are you really willing to let her suffer here alone?' 'I'm sure someone else will come here and see her and will surely help' 'You know no one came to this area in years, and the weather will be freezing when night falls' 'But I know next to nothing about caring for a Pokémon' my mind was fighting with itself until it came to a conclusion.
"Wait espurr" I said and she turn around and I already feeling sick to my stomach. "Wi-will you go with me, I mean you can't stay here and the weather will get worse as night fall." I was nervous and sick to my stomach at the same time. 'Are you sure, because I don't want to be a burden to you ' she thought without turning around. I gulp and said "Yeah I'm sure." I gave a reassuring smile and she turn to give me a tearful smile and I know I dug my own grave.
I gotten the bag and fished out a pokeball "Okay now lets see how do I work this thing again?" as I held Nest ball in figuring out how it worked, espurr came close and just tap the button and was zapped inside to my surprise. After three dings it stopped wobbling meaning espurr was caught 'no turning back now' I gulp "ESPURR COME ON OUT!" I yell and toss the ball up and out she went, while the ball hit my head in the process.
We managed to get to the top of the bridge and with espurr's help she managed to bring my bike to the other side but still with a flat we hiked to the nearby town on foot. As we continue it was already getting dark and the temperature decreases more to which it began to snow. 'Wow, it's snowing' she said in aw. "Yup which means we need to get to a safe place and fast" I said as I sped up in my walking while espurr cling to my shoulder.
In a few minutes we managed to get to a town in one piece. The town was quiet and the snow started to pickup and there was no way I'll be getting back home so I found the nearby Pokémon center. "Hello is anyone here" I said and in an instant nurse joy appeared smiling along with her assistant Audino. "Welcome to the Pokémon Center, how may we help you?" She said cheerfully and I respond "Oh, umm a yes hello I was wondering if I could spend the night here until the snow light up?" "Yes of course anyone can stay for the night especially with this weather, let me get your room key." I was so worried that there weren't any room left. 'Wow the nurse here looks the same here too?' I look at espurr in confusion of what she meant but I digress, soon nurse joy came back "Here you go your room is 3-B, and if you want I could do a check up on your umm... Pokémon?" She pointed to espurr "Oh yes please, I actually caught her today and was worried if she got any injuries because she was living under a damp rundown bridge."
Joy looked shocked and was also sad as well. I waited in the lobby for about half an hour and soon my name was paged in the intercom meaning that espurr finished with the check up. I came to find Nurse Joy there and saw what surprises me most "Your Pokémon is ready to go, she just had a few scrapes and bruises but overall perfectly healthy. And I took the liberty to clean her up for you as well." she said but I wasn't paying attention much because espurr is espurr but I didn't know she was pink and not grey like in the pokedex said. "Um thanks nurse Joy." I said walking to espurr 'So surprised that I'm pink' she said blushing. "Yeah but for some reason you look really cute" I said and pick her up and she was so happy to hear that.
Later I tried to call home but to no avail " Seem they're too busy to answer the phone" I said disappointed. "Hey Diana here and sorry I couldn't make it on time so I'll see you guys tomorrow." I left a voicemail so they'll at least know that I was alright. So espurr and I decided to take in the view of the snow falling all around. Wow it covered the ground to about 2 or 3 inches tall. In my aw of the snow espurr jump out of my arms and decided to playing in the snow. In that moment I took out my sketchbook and was drawing espurr in the snow seemingly dancing all around. 'this is amazing I rarely see snow' she thought joyfully.
'Yeah amazing' I thought "You know you actually look like a princess dancing in the snow, you know" to which espurr blush and fell in the snow 'I do not, do I?' She said with a ball of snow on her head "Yes you do" I replied. Espurr then came over and saw my drawing 'Wow you're amazing Diana, I love it' and it was my turn to blush because rarely I get any compliments of my drawings. "Thanks that means a lot...Princess." She looked up at me 'why did you called me Princess?' Looking genuinely confuse. "I figured that since you're now my and only Pokémon partner I should at lease give you a proper name, what you don't like it? Sorry but I never was good at naming things." I said maybe she didn't like the new name. 'No I actually like the name very much!' She smile with tearful eyes. And for once in my life I actually starting to like Pokémon, well at least one so far.
