It’s quiet… Too quiet… Why did I choose to go here in the first place? Damn it…

I watch the two figures walk inside the lab from my corner. I wonder what their reaction may be? They sit down and a small table that I’ve arranged for us to sit at.
“Okay Ackerman, you’ve got this” I whisper to myself. “I’ve fought aliens, I think I can handle this…”
I emerge from the shadow and walk over to them. The stranger looks up at me with a hint of shock. I’m not surprised. I would be to if I would’ve met a copy of myself for the first time. He quickly looks away embarrassed. I take a seat next to Hange who fumbles with his papers. I roll my eyes. Let’s get this over with.
“What’s your name? And what are your businesses here?” I cross my arms over my chest.
“L-levi Ackerman… Just like you… Erm… I am here because of I am in need of your help” He stutters still not meeting my gaze.
“Why do you look like my boss? Where do you come from?~” Hange looks over at him with a fascinated look.
A faint red color spreads across his face.
“Well… erm.. you could say that I am from another world, another dimension” He looks up towards me. “And I need your help with my equipment”
“And what do you mean by equipment?” Hange adjusts his glasses.
Levi pulls out something that looks like a hand computer. I glance over at the device. Looks almost identical like my very own. So he… really is me?
“What’s wrong with it?” Hange asks. “The portal gun looks fine to me”
Hange grabs it and runs a check up. “Oh… I see, you’re eh… Memory is full, wait” He runs through the memory card and then deletes it.
There must be something more. That is like the simplest thing in the whole universe! I stand up and lean over the desk, getting closer to him. I can see him getting more nervous.
“As I thought”
Hange looks up at me with a small smirk playing on his lips. He knows. I grab the crook of his shirt and glare at him.
“Spill.The.Beans”
“Alright, so he needs help with something in his universe and bla bla bla, it may not sound interesting but it’s a war and bla bla bla” Hange rambles making my head spin.
“Just shut up, I understand” I groan letting go of him. He stumbles.
The other me or well… Levi let’s a small giggle escape his lips. I turn towards him and he blushes. I guess, he’s kind of cute... Damn it Levi get your head straight.
“Um Levi? Should we maybe test drive my new molecule cleave gun now that we have this amazing opportunity?~”
I shake my head and walk over to one of the many lockers in the lab. My hands grasp around the handle and open it with a swift movement. A whole lot of equipment and different weapons me and Hange have hoarded during these last 10 years that we’ve been working together.
“This is what we’ll be using” I say proudly. “Now come over here and grab something, my treat”
“You’re such a bore Corporal” Hange says in an annoyed tone. “Bit if that is what you want, then fine”
The two of them walk over to me and grab some weapons. While preparing ourselves Hange tris to have small talk with Levi. I roll my eyes.
“So Levi~ Tell me a little bit about your dimension!~”
Levi looks up at him, a little bit surprised.
“M-my dimension? Erm well… It’s much like yours but… A little bit different” He grabs my acid-gun and looks down at it. “Everyone seems to have switched personalities”
“Cool! What’s the Hange in your world like?” Hange looks curiously at him.
“Well she’s-”
A loud explosion interrupts him. The ground shakes and the lights go out.
“What the hell!?” I growl. “Hange take Levi with you and check on the generator, I’ll go and check out what the hell that was”
“W-we can’t leave you here Corporal!” Another explosion goes off. “Aaah! Pl-please!”
“Tch, I can handle this” I reload my my fireblaster. “A little explosions has never killed nobody”
“I think you’re wrong there…”
“Just shut up and do as I say!” I glare at him. “There is no time to for this, GO!”
Hange grabs Levi’s hand and gives me one last look before running out of the lab. I clench my fist and dash upstairs towards my room. I just need to get one more thing before I look for the source of the explosion.
