Chloe's POV
I sat on the Hufflepuff table next to a girl named Alicia. I think she's the blonde girl who lost her cat at the train. She's sweet and nice and very talkative. I don't know how many times she talked something about Korea.

I took a glance at the Ravenclaw table. There sat Violet, my new friend I met on the train. I was expected to be in Ravenclaw because of my nerdiness, but my loyalty and hardwork put me in Hufflepuff.

Then I turned to see the Gryffindor table. The only people I know are my brother, Rick, and Lily Faulters, the girl who came to our compartement. Have to say that the Hogwarts Express is a great place to make new friends.

After the Sorting Ceremony was over, Professor McGonagall said, "I would like to say a few words. The Forbidden Forest is out of bounds for students. Gryffindors, I warned you." Everyone in the Gryffindor table let out a small "yeah". Whoa, what happened? "Also, students below third year are not allowed to go to the village of Hogsmeade. If you're interested in signing up for Quidditch, then Madam Hooch will help you with that. I think that's all. Enjoy the feast!"

Suddenly, food appeared at our table. Some students gasps in surprise. My brother told me that Hogwarts food are the best. Alicia is chatting with a girl next to her. I think I'll just eat the food than socializing...

I cut the slice of meat when someone tapped my shoulder. It was none other than the Alicia kid. "Hey, do you mind if I take those fries?" She asked.

"Sure. No problem." I said.

She took my fries and continue to chat with the girl next to her. I'm okay with that. I'm not really the social type of person.

After the feast, Professor McGonagall told us to go to our common rooms to have a good night sleep. I stood up and follow the Prefects to our common room.

We walked to the basement and then proceed to the corridor near the kitchen. The Prefects told us how to enter the common room by tapping the barrels in the rythym of "Helga Hufflepuff".

We enter the common room. It was surprisingly comforting. The room is decorated with yellow and black colours like a bee. The plants are also beautiful. The potrait over the wooden mantlepiece is the founder of this house, Helga Hufflepuff. The room feels sunny.

I quickly walk to the direction the girls' dorm room when I found a tabby cat running towards me. "Hey, Enoby! Come back here!" Alicia trying to chase her cat again. I crouched down to lift the cat so I could give her back to the owner.

She took the cat in my arms instantly. "Oh Enoby...why would you run away? It's safe here." She cooed. Then she turned to me. "Thanks for your help."

I gave her a smile. "No problem. By the way I'm Chloe Winstlyn."

"I'm Alicia Zeagans. And you already met lil' Enoby here." She lifted the front paw of Enoby.

"Your cat is cute. I wish I had a cat but my mom won't let me. She's alergic to them." I sighed.

"Aw that sucks. Cats are the best!"

I chuckled. "I agree."

She look around as if she was searching for something. "My, where is Natalie? I thought she was here.." She mumbled.

"Natalie? Who is she?" I asked.

She turned to face me. "She's the dark-haired girl that I chat with in the Great Hall." Oh that one.

"She's kinda shy. When I talked to her, her voice is so soft and quiet. I almost can't hear her." She added.

"I think she's just tired. McGonagall told us to have a good night sleep." I said.

"Yeah. Maybe that."

I yawned. Gosh, I'm tired already? "I think I'm gonna go to sleep right now. So long and goodnight, Alicia." I headed to my bed and quickly close the curtains so no one will bother me.

Life at Hogwarts had just begun.
