Violet's POV
To get to Ravenclaw common room, you need to climb stairs from the Ravenclaw tower. It was quite a challenge for the first year students, although it is quite fun for some people.Arriving at the top, the prefect knocked on the portrait. The first years waited for it to open, but instead it spoke.
"You can see me in the water, but I never get wet."
"Reflection." The prefect said simply, the portrait hole opened and the first years entered.
"Wait, we're supposed to answer a riddle everytime we enter our own common room?" Malcom asked.
I nodded, "Probably, that wasn't too difficult though." I replied.
"I swear, someday I might get locked out because I can't answer a riddle." He shook his head at the thought.
"Do you think the other houses have something unique to open their common room too?" I asked, wondering what the Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Slytherins have to do to open their common room.
"I don't think their smart enough for that. Even I don't think I will be smart enough for the riddles." Malcom muttered the last part.
"I think they would be smart enough, actually." I argued. "Did you know Albus Dumbledore, one of the wisest man I know, was a Gryffindor?"

Malcom and I sat by the fire, I read my favorite book at the moment which is Fantastic beast and where to find them by Newt Scamander. It was a great book, but I don't think I'll dig too deep on magical creatures.
After Malcom left to go to his dormitory, I looked over at the edge of the window. It was true, the Ravenclaw tower does have the best view in Hogwarts.
Entering my dormitory I saw a few girls talking. Instead of joining the conversation, I got ready to bed and headed to bed. It wasn't that I didn't want to be social, but I was too tired to make more friends that day.
Atleast until...
"Hey." A girl called.
I turned over on the bed, "What?" I asked the girl sitting on her bed next to me.
"Everyones already asleep I thought I would introduce myself. I'm Gabriela Bronze, I guess we're roommates now, huh?" She beamed, talking in a bubbly personality.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Violet Belasco and... Yeah, I guess we are." I replied. "Crazy isn't it? To be at Hogwarts." I wasn't in the mood for a conversation.
"Very." She replied. "Well, I'm going to enjoy some shut eye. Sorry for waking you up!" She climbed on her bed and covered herself with her blanket.
"Yeah, night." I mumbled.

The next morning, I walked to Charms with Malcom. "Do you think we'll get to watch Quidditch soon?"
"I don't know, we can only hope." He replied.
We were going to go straight to Charms, but a boy and a his 'servants' blocked the way. "If it isn't Galory, enjoyed the pie I sent?" He said, his 'servants' laughed.
"Shove off, Lycan." Malcom hissed.
"I don't think so." The boy who Malcom addressed as 'Lycan' replied with a smirk.
"Leave us alone, Gryffindors like you should be brave. Not bullying out numbered people." I said.
"You act like we care." One of his 'servant' replied. They were now towering over me and Malcom, even though we're the same height.
"Remember when I asked for your opinion? Me neither." I glared at them before pulling Malcom by the sleeve and continuing our way to charms.
"Thanks." Malcom said awkwardly.
"Don't mention it." I told him, "But, what's this about... pie?" I asked.
Malcom blushed, "It was an embarrassing moment, it happened when I was six.." he trailed off.
"I'm listening." I said.
"That was Reese Lycan, he and I met when we were six. Both of our mums were close friends, mum took me to the Lycans for a playdate." Malcom explained. "It didn't go so well, when we got home mum told me to make pie for him, maybe he'll warm up to me and we can become friends."
"And....?" I urged him to continue.
"I did what she told me to, but I also added an ingredient that... Lycan's allergic to." Malcom continued. "He was sent to the hospital. Ever since then, when mum's at work.. he would throw pies at my house-"
"Wait, wait, wait.. what is he allergic to?" I asked in a mischievous smile.
"Violet!" He scolded. "Anyway, I would always clean the pies. Mum never knew about the accident because I kept it from her. If she saw the pies covering our house... She would ask me everything and I'm not good at telling lies." He finished.
"Wow, that's actually... Complicated." I commented, "Is this the only reason he's mean?"
Malcom shook his head, "No, he was mean the first time I met him. But I guess that accident made him bully me until today." He shrugged.
When we arrived at charms, I realized we were having class with Hufflepuffs. Sweet!
