The Escape (A Matt Espinosa Fanfic)

Chapter Three

After we got done eating.

Vada grabs her backpack from the car and takes out a tooth brush and paste.

I started laughing so hard.

"What? my fucking breath smells like pasta" she says laughing.

The toothpaste is all down her face from laughing at me. I don't know why it was so funny, I was laughing too hard.

"Give me some stupid" she tossed me the toothpaste and I grab a bottle of water.

After I get done rinsing it all out I grab Vadas head and began to rinse the toothpaste out of her mouth.

It was so funny I started crying laughing. 

"What the hell Matt, you got it on my shirt" she says laughing.

"It's almost out" I yell laughing.

finally I get done and throw the bottle in a trash can. I turn around and Vada is just staring at me.

"Thanks you fucking retard" she says and hops in the truck.

"Totally!!" I say still laughing.

"Well that made no sense" I laugh starting the truck and driving off.

"You have gorgeous teeth" I manage to say before laughing again.

"You're such a dork" she laughs.

( Vadas POV )

After all the stupidity occurred we made it to Matt's cousins house. I was pretty nervous because I didn't know these people but It's better than being in that hell hold back in Arizona.

"Damn" I mutter out quickly.

This house is so big.

We get out and walk inside and I start to observe my surroundings.

"TAVERS! WE'RE HERE!" Matt yells.

He leads me to the kitchen and we sit at a island in the middle of the room.

A girl walks out of the door, she's gorgeous. She has hair exactly like mine, her eyes are just a little lighter. She has perfect white teeth and a gorgeous smile. She's wearing a nike sports bra and some sweatpants.

She's too pretty.

"Well hi there gorgeous" she says extending her hand out.

"Hey" I laugh, "You're not so bad yourself" I say and take her hand.

I can tell we should be getting along pretty well.

"Matt has told me alot about you" she says.

"I'm going up to Rens room, I'll be right back" Matt says and walks away.

"Okay, Tell him I said get his ass down here and meet La'Vada" Tavery commands.

"Follow me babe, Let's get you settled in the guest room."

"Okay, Thanks" I say.

We walk in a decent sized room. It's nice.

"I'll be right back", Tavery says.

"Okay"

Matt walks in "So how do you like Tavery so far?"

"She's cool, I think we'll get along just fine" 

"Okay well Ren is her brother, He's 19. This is his house their parents live in North Carolina. Long story short Tave didn't want to live in NC so she moved with Ren while he's here for college."

"Thanks for the info" I say relieved.

"Ren sayed you could stay as long as you wanted."

"Sounds good"

Tavery walks in with some pajamas. "I know you're tired here are some clothes if you didn't pack any"

"Thanks Tavery"

"Please call me Tave" she says.

"Tavers is better bastard" Matt says and tackles her onto the bed.

"You fool" she says laughing.

Tavery gets up and says "Get out she needs to change moran"

Matt agrees and leaves.

"Here's the bathroom, we'll be in the kitchen."

"Okay"

As I get done I put on bracelets and hair bands to cover my wrist.

I walk to the kitchen and see everyone conversating. I notice someone unfamiliar, he has brown hair and brown eyes. He looks just like Tavery, must be Ren.

"Ren this is Moore" Matt says.

"Is that like my new name now?" I say and laugh at matt.

"Maybe" He laughs.

"Nice to meet you Vada" Ren says. 

"You too, you and Tavery both look so much alike" I manage to shutter out.

They both look at each other

"Hear that Tavers, there's another. I still look better though" Ren says putting Tavery in a choke hold.

"Yeah, yeah, shut up fag." Tavery says and squirms out of his arms.

"We should all get some sleep, It's late" Matt says firmly.

We all agree.

I exchange my number with Ren and Tavery then make my way to the bedroom.

As I get settled Matt comes in.

"How is everything going" he asks.

"Great"

"Are you okay Vada"

"Fine" I say smiling.

( Matthew's POV )

She's lying straight to my face, she's lying to herself.

She's not okay, I know those bracelets are hurting her cuts.

I know how hard she's faking that smile.

Regretfully I grab her arm and began taking her bracelets off. She starts moving so I'd stop.

"Just.. please, La'Vada" i gently mutter and she stops.

When I get done I see there are few cuts but they're deep. I gently rub across them and look her in her eyes.

I can see the tears forming, I just hugged her. That's all I could think of to do. 

Like before my only question is Why?

"I'm not going to ask why or ask you to stop, but I am going to stay by your side... threw everything, threw all of this."

"Thank you Matt, thanks for caring" she says now crying into my shoulder.

Wiping her tears I hug her tighter.

I finally build the courage to let go, I walked towards the door and turned around.

"Goodnight Moore"

"Night... Espinosa" she mutters with a cute smirk.
