The world seemed darker. Darker than it had already been; gradually dimming with every second. Our lives had been put in danger for those past couple of months. We were in the hands of the people who had seemed to govern our future. They were the Guidance, no longer leading us in the right direction, but in their direction. They ruled us, they made us.
However, times had changed. The Guidance no longer needed us, so they threw us away and we were forced to govern ourselves. They shut off our sources of electricity and information; not our determination. People like us, who fought against the Guidance, were known as the Defiance.
The Defiance had been around for a while. Established even before the whole "cut off" began. There we were, with no electricity and defense while we fought for our lives. Once the Guidance found out about our rebellion, they set out problems to stop us.
They began to release drones, and set out any type of complication in our path. Our only ways of fighting back were the weapons that were already in our hands; along with a couple of secretive trade-offs.
Having a gun strapped to your waist was not the most comfortable feeling, but it kept you alive.

"Face the camera- and say it,"
I turned away from the soldier, and disobeyed his obvious orders. How did I let this happen? The guard grabbed my jaw with one of his hands and smacked it with the other - the force of the contact was unbearable.
"SAY IT," the soldier exclaimed once again.
I wiped my bleeding lip onto my shoulder, unable to fight back because of my hand-cuffed hands.
This time, the guard did not pull back his hand, but his gun. The gun came in contact with the skin of my left temple. He nudged it against my face then shot towards the wall beside me. I shifted as he placed the gun back to its previous spot.
"Look here, son. Either you participate, or I will. Remember the little plan we discussed earlier? You choose," the soldier said beside me.
I took in a rugged, deep breath. I looked up and faced the lens of the camera. The blinking red light signaling their recording. Don't do it.
I closed my eyes and faced it once again.
"My name is Harry Styles, and I am a part of the Defiance."
