Peter Parker and Venus Deterzo smiled as Ursula and Jenny Vermin came to Beacon Academy's courtyard. Ursula hugged all three of them with a gigantic bear hug as Peter, Venus, and Jenny gasped, "Ursula... let go!" Ursula let go as she smiled, "You are fortunate enough that I am glad to see you. I even made you your favorite breakfast for you and took an airship here. It is still nice and warm." Ursula handed four styrofoam takeout boxes and plastic utensils to them. Peter sniffed and deadpanned, "Honey pancakes?" Jenny gasped playfully, "How did you guess?" They all laughed as Ricochet and Nightingale came over. Ursula gave them a bear hug as well and let go. Johnny asked Peter, "How is it you walk away from a hug like that?" Peter replied, "I don't know. Ursula got us some honey pancakes." They grabbed the boxes and began eating the honey pancakes. Nightingale complimented, "These honey pancakes are quite delectable, Ursula." Ursula smiled, "Thank you Nightingale." Then Glynda Goodwitch's voice called in the intercoms, "Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?" Peter chuckled, "Duty calls." Venus threw away the empty styrofoam takeout boxes in a nearby trash can and wrapped her arms and legs around Peter as she declared, "Onward, fearless leader!" Peter scolded, "Venus!" The Chimera cat Faunus giggled as she purred and nudged her head on his shoulder. "C'mon, we don't want to keep Goodwitch waiting," said Ricochet. "You better get going," agreed Ursula. "By the way, Peter, your aunt and uncle came by and said that they were proud of your accomplishments and you of course." Jenny added, "They also said that they'll be coming to see you soon." Peter smiled, "Thanks. I hope to see you, too." Team SVRN left as Ursula smiled and turned to Jenny. "We better get going as well," said Ursula. "We might have a lot of customers hungry for my cooking." Jenny nodded as they went on their way to the next airship to Vale.

Team SVRN made to the amphitheater where their fellow first year students from Beacon or other academies were talking to one another. Glynda announced, "Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." She stepped aside as Professor Ozpin stepped forward to the microphone and spoke, "Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." Everyone applauded as they began shuffling everywhere. Peter asked, "Where do you think that they'll send us to do?" Nightingale replied, "The news report Whitney Chang broadcasted about could convince the kingdoms about the existence of the Synoptic and what their plans are." Ricochet said, "The Human Torch's marriage to a Skrull is one thing, but this?" Nightingale agreed, "Jonathan is right. It would result in rethinking the history of Remnant itself." Venus asked, "So how are the four of us going to convince a council of old people that aliens over a million years old are going to take over the world?" Unexpectedly, General James Ironwood came over to them and answered, "That could be arranged." That surprised them, even Venus got off of Peter in order to look as professional in front of the general as she can. "The recent events going on, the kidnapped civilians, the sewer collapsing, the creature found dead under the highway, and the red and black creature attacking in the streets," Ironwood listed off. "With Dr. Richards' word backing me up, as well as the team against these aliens, we can get the council aware of this 'Synoptic'. Is that what you call them?" Peter answered, "It's what they call themselves." Ironwood nodded, "Follow me."

Team SVRN followed Ironwood to Ozpin, Glynda, and Reed Richards to another room where there were the Council of Vale in a holographic screen. "These four first year students, Team SVRN, have fighting against not only to the likes of criminals like the Shocker or Hydro Man, but intergalactic parasitical creatures that call themselves the Synoptic," started Ozpin. One of the councilmen scoffed, "Preposterous." Ironwood stated, "It is true, councilman. I myself encountered one of them. It was red and black, had bone spikes and claws, and mouth full of sharp teeth." Peter spoke quickly, "His name is Carnage." The adults looked at him as Ironwood finished, "And this 'Carnage' was looking for someone named 'Venom' during the night of the Beacon Academy dance." Ironwood turned to the leader of the Fantastic Four and said, "Tell the council of your tests, Dr. Richards." Reed nodded as he spoke, "According to the carbon dating of the creature we found under the highway, it has been here on our planet for billions of countless years." Ozpin said, "According to Team SVRN, we have reason to believe these aliens have taking over Vale first, and the world as we know it." The councilman asked Team SVRN, "Is this true?" Peter answered, "Yes." One of the council members asked, "How are we sure he is telling us the truth? He did turn into that Man Spider not so long ago." Peter cringed at the memory of him transforming into Man Spider and living a nightmare. Shaking it off, Peter replied, "That mutation disease was caused by someone who calls himself the High Evolutionary." The adults wondered in the curiosity of the name. Changing the subject, the councilman asked, "Do you know where exactly these aliens are at this time?" Reed replied, "Not exactly but my satellite has the genetic structure of the aliens and is currently scanning the entire kingdom of Vale for their current nest." The councilman asked, "Do you know when your satellite will pick up the aliens?" Reed shrugged, "Only time will tell." The council members sighed as they looked each other. Then finally councilman spoke, "Be sure you let us know when you do. That will be all." The holographic screen turned off as everyone left the room.

Professor Ozpin and Glynda came to Team SVRN. "So until Dr. Richards' satellite detects the Synoptic," said Glynda. "You are to do additional missions around Vale. Is this understood?" The four teammates nodded as Ozpin said, "Go to your dorm room and we'll let you know of any additional missions for you."

At the Synoptic nest in the water pumping station, Venom and Carnage were talking to each other. "Taking back our planet from the Huntsmen and Huntresses will be in vain if we do not find a female host for our Queen," said Venom. Carnage agreed with a snarl, "Our young Queen is getting ready for her coronation, man. She is demanding for a female host. A Synoptic Queen is incomplete without a host body, man." Venom thought for a moment and then smirked evilly, "Tell the Queen not to worry. Her host body will come before her coronation even begins."
