I frantically looked for Dave. Loosing a 6-year-old is a really bad thing. "Dave?" I called racing around the side of a building before sighing in relief. Dave stood in front of me while a dude about my age crouched beside him. "Hey sorry about my little bro." I apologized walking over. The dude took his hand off his head and i realized he had been comforting Dave. "No problem, he just raced around the corner and just bite it. Figured I should keep an eye on him till someone came to find him." The guy glanced up at me with giant green eyes while he spoke. His voice was really girly but cute.
"Hey your big brother is here now." The guy told Dave as he straightened up. Dave sniffled and clung to his leg. "Hey do you want a piggy back ride Lil' man?" I asked trying to soothe Dave. He shook his head and glanced up at the other dude. "Can you?" The dude glanced at me for a moment before glancing back down at Dave. "Sure go ahead." When Dave scrambled up his back his white hat flipped off his head. His messy and very fluffy brown hair slightly falling into those green eyes. I grabbed the hat off the ground. "Thanks, I'm Ray by the way. Sorry about the brother thing." I started walking and Ray followed. "Dirk."
By the time we lugged Dave to the apartment he was asleep. "Umm I guess I'll hand him to you and go?" I glanced at Ray. "Would it be cool if you came up? Trust me, the second you leave he'll wake up and have a fit youre gone. Besides I owe you." Ray flushed slightly and opened his mouth to say something when his stomach rumbled loud enough for me to hear. "I think that means I should feed you, don't argue I know you're hungry."
"How many stairs do you have?" Ray panted. "3,843." Dave answered leaning his chin on Ray's shoulder. "Oh and pardon the place its a little messy." I warned Ray. "There's smuppets everywhere. Plus these cool ninja star things bro keeps." Dave whispered. "Yes I'm a ninja Dave." I glanced at the two as I reached for the door handle. Both of their faces were bright pink. "He is a ninja." Ray said. I shook my head and opened the door.
"Boys and their toys." I heard Ray mumble. "Like you don't have any." I felt someone tug on my arm. I bent down and Dave whispered in my ear...
"I think Ray's a girl."
