Look at that. My alarm did go off. I reached over to my nightstand and pushed the dismiss button on my clock. I got up and sat on my bed and covered my eyes and sighed. "Amanda!". My mom yelled for me. She doesn't usually do this. I got up and opened my door slowly because i heard a man's voice, it was familiar. I crept down the stairs slowly and peeked around the railing. "Tommy?". I whispered to myself. He looked at me. "Morning, Amanda". I quickly smiled and looked around uncomfortably. My mom smiled. "Breakfast is ready Amanda". I nodded. "I'm going to skip. I'll probably get something with my friends". She smiled. "Alright". She went into the kitchen and i walked down to Tommy. "Why are you here?". He leaned in again like usual and whispered, "I never told you what to call, or contact when you're there". I acted like i didn't know about Camp Crystal lake. "I'm sorry, but there will be no reason to contact you". He sighed. "Amanda, don't do this". He put his hand on my shoulder. I looked down. "I think you should leave". He grabbed my shoulders. "Look, Amanda. Look, he's back, he's going to kill you!". My dad poked his head through the kitchen doorway. "Everything okay, hun?". I nodded. "Yes dad". I looked at Tommy and he backed away and nodded. "Your choice, you'll know how to reach me". He left, while slamming the front door.
I went into the kitchen and seen both of my parents eavesdropping. I sighed. "Just a friend, Mom". She nodded and smiled. "Alright then". I sighed and went back upstairs. I got ready and grabbed my bag. I sat on the porch, waiting. For Brandon's van to pull up, with everyone in it. I sighed, losing hope of going. Then I seen Deborah, running out, with a smile from ear to ear crossing the street to come to me. I stood up. "Hey! Amanda! Ready?". I nodded, "yes, of course i am". She stood on the first step and smiled. I loved Deborah, She was always there for me, when basically, nobody was. Waking up every morning and seeing her Big round glasses, and her old grandma sweaters, skinny jeans, plus some killer flats.
I laughed. "What? What is it?". I shook my head and looked out for the van. She started freaking out. "It's my hair. Oh my word, i told my mom, the little pig-tail, was TOO childish-". I crossed my arms. "You just look like a girl scout". She sighed. "Okay! So my hair, does... look good?". I sighed and walked past her to the curb. "You've been hanging with Tiffany WAY, to much Deb". She stood next to me. We seen a Bright Red van pull up, With Brandon in the driver's seat. He hit the door through the window a couple times. "Need a ride ladies?". We both smiled and walked over to the fan and slid open the side door. He winked at me. "Real smooth, Buggzy". Deborah mumbled to him. I laughed. We sat down, in the back with everyone.
Jenny, she doesn't really talk that much. I sat next to her. I leaned over her shoulder, "What are you reading?". She closed the book and marked the page with her finger. "Pardon?", She asked. I leaned closer because she didn't hear me because the engine. I went close to her ear. "What are you reading?!". She nodded, and turned the cover to me. Fright Night. She smiled and ran her thumb along the paperback of the book. I held out my hand. "May i?". She nodded. "Of course". She handed it to me, and i read the back of the book and handed it back to her, while smiling. We flew forward. "Shit man!", Chad yelled. Brandon, Almost hit a rabbit. Chad held his head while everyone was taking a breather to get over the moment. "Watch where you're going, idiot". Brandon rested his arm on the arm rest to his left. "Look, Chad. You can get out. My van, My rules". Chad tilted his head, "Excuse me? Look, i could-". Eric cut him off. "Woah guys!". Our attention turned to him.
"I think we're going to Packanack". That got everyone to quiet down. Chad Turned his head back to us, "So? Isn't that the same place or something?". Eric nodded in confusion. "I guess". Chad rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Nerd". Eric looked at him. "Come on man, we all agreed that we should all stop calling me nerd!".
We stopped for gas and we all got out. A woman was sitting on the porch knitting. We waited while they filled up the tank. "Hey, darling". I looked at her. Jenny came next to me. "Where are y'all headed?". I smiled. "Camp crystal lake, or Packanack? Or somewhere around there". She raised her eyebrow and looked around. "You heard what happened there, right?". I nodded and pulled Jenny away. "Look, it was nice talking". Jenny looked back as i pulled her away. "What happened there?". We went in the van with everyone else and i said, "I'll tell you later". Tiffany smiled. "IF! There is a later".
