The trouble with boys

Chapter eleven

Before going into the dance studio, I turned to Carly.

Jackson: "I 'm going to talk to Mark, ok? Maybe JB... I can't hide stuff from him."

Carly: "You asked me to trust you, I trust you"

She kept her eyes fixed on mine, they reassured the trust, but I could see her worry. I was going to say something, but she started talking.

Carly: "I was kidding about the kiss, you know? It did save my life from a horrible panic attack, so there is no need to talk about it", she replied and entered the building.

That last sentence had me holding my breath. I know it was a simple kiss, but I felt things I haven't felt in a long time with just one kiss. Guess she was just a friend, for now.

As soon as we entered I went in, I gathered JB and Mark and explained what just happened.

JB & Mark: "WHAT?"

JB: "Are you ok? Is she ok?" he kept asking, glancing at her every time he asked a new question. For some reason the way he looked at her made me feel uncomfortable. That is when he turned to look for Jinyoung.

I watched as Carly and G started to walk out to the studio to talk privately.

Mark: "Jackson, are you alright? Something happened?" he raised an eyebrow.

Jackson: "Yeah, but can we talk about it later?" I scratched my head. I knew this would probably be a long discussion.

Carly: "G, we need to talk", I said while rubbing my hands. I stared at the floor trying to find the courage to have this conversation.

G: "You really think I don't know? Ahjumma called me a few minutes ago. Oh Carly!" she lunged at me in an embrace.

She hugged me so tight I let out a yelp.

G: "You're hurt?" her eyes were watering.

Carly: "A few bruises, but I'm here" I replied trying to reassure her.

G: "We'll go home, pick up some stuff up and stay at a hotel, ok?"

Mark: "No!" he exclaimed, scaring the both us. "You guys are safer if you stay with us."

G & Carly: "What? We can't do that!" we said looking at each other in shocked.

JB: "Is the best option you guys have right now. We always have security around", he said with is sly smile.

G saw Jackson and went running towards him. I could only hear her thanking him for helping me and he was saying stop. Funny, he looked almost bashful from afar. JB sat down next to me and kept staring at me.

Carly: "What JB? Is there anything you want to say to me?"

JB: "You are a bit like Mark, quiet." I could see he was serious about this.

Carly: "So, that is a bad thing?"

JB: "No, but seems like you are hiding stuff. Something happened with Jackson? Seth? You?" he said turning to me, looking me right in the eyes.

Carly: "Seth, was G's ex, nothing to do with me, but he messed with her so I got involved. As for Jackson, what do you mean?"

JB: "I know you guys have a bit of a history. You did stay at our place" he stopped talking once he saw Jinyoung coming our way.

I knew Jinyoung had told him, since he was the one that confirmed it to me, but still I was stunned that he knew.

Carly: "We'll talk later" I said rolling my eyes at him.

Jinyoung: "So you will stay with us!", he said with his bright smile.

Carly: "Yeah... We need to pick a few things from home and then will go"

G: "Can you guys make some rice? We would love to cook for you"

From afar we heard Youngjae, Yugyeom and Bambam screaming yes and running towards JB and Jinyoung, who said yes. We said our farewells, G had their address and we were on our way home.

G: "Carly, you ok? You are too quiet"

Carly: "I, um, before today happened, I was thinking of going back home" I let out a sigh.

G just held my hand for a few minutes until she spoke.

G: "Maybe, just for tonight, if you want to, we can talk about it later and sleep on it?"

I nodded in reply.

Jinyoung: "Are everyone's room clean or at least organized?" I said looking mainly at the maknae line. They nodded and kept cleaning a bit up, so they place didn't look like 7 boys lived there alone, but it was mission impossible.

Yugyeom: "Where are they going to sleep?" he wasn't the only one curious about this.

Mark: "Let's wait for them to get here first, they probably will want to be together"

After an hour, the girls arrived with a small bag each and two big bags that smelled delicious. We took the bags from the girls and help them get set up in the living room. The girls brought a lot of food, fit for 10 people or more.

JB: "You know I don't really like western food, right" he said eyeing Carly.

Carly: "Yes" she replied rolling her eyes.

G: "We know you guys already!"

They had made bulgogi, Sundubu Jjigae, Kimchi Jjigae, bibimbap, kimchi fried rice, gimbap and Tteokbokki that Ahjumma sent to us.

Jinyoung: "You guys made all this?" I was amazed by all the food they brought us.\

G: "Yes and Ahjumma made some too. Our way of thanking you for today"

We all sat and started eating and talking. Until Bambam brought the issue of the sleeping arrangement.

Carly: "Well, if is not too much trouble, we can stay in the living room"

After she said that, and argument started between everyone.

Bambam: "They will be cold!"

Youngjae: "Noona the sun will hit you guys hard in the morning!"

Yugyeom: "Well if that is what they want"

Mark: "Why? The rooms are better and we can sleep here and you guys get the bed"

JB: "My bed is better than the sofa"

Jackson: "Is the tv, right?"

JInyoung: "Ok, before this turns into a bigger argument. Rock, paper, scissors?

All: Ok!

One by one, we all took turns until to our surprised, they won.

Jinyoung: "The girls get the living room"

After eating, every one of us helped cleaned up and get the living room ready for the girls. We all went to our rooms, they needed to rest. I on the other hand, wanted to read a bit so I stayed in my room doing just that. I had forgotten something in the kitchen, but stopped when I heard the girls having a serious conversation.

G: "Are you sure you want to leave?"

Carly: "I don't know."

G: "Maybe is just a moment that you are having or feeling. How about we go somewhere fun tomorrow?"

I slowly went back into my room and texted the guys, told them what I heard. After accusing me of snooping, they started giving ideas on what to do, Jackson's pick was the best one.

Tomorrow will be fun!
