The trouble with boys

Chapter fourteen

After a few seconds of kissing, he stopped and we rested on each other's foreheads. The silence felt awkward until I broke it.

Carly: "Um... I turned to kiss your cheek" I wasn't lying. I was aiming for his cheeks, but I don't know what happened. My heart was beating fast, I didn't know what else to say.

He was about to say something, but it was time to get out of the ride. He grabbed my hand and guided me out to of the Ferris wheel.

"Oh, I thought you were dating JB", I heard someone say. I knew who the person was, Min.

Jackson: "What?" he said raising his eyebrows and looking at me.

This was my worst nightmare and I didn't know what to say to make it better or probably worst.

Carly: "No!"

Min: "So he's single? It was all a lie?" she replied smirking and left.

Had she planned this?

Jackson: "Lie? What lie Carly?"

Carly: "Um, Jackson, I can explain."

Jackson: "You're dating JB!?" he said looking down at the ground and putting his jacket on.

I couldn't talk, I didn't know what to say and he was walking away.

Carly: "Jackson" I whispered slowly grabbing one of his hands. He turned and looked at me, he didn't have to say it but he was hurt and disappointed. After looking at his eyes, I let go of his hand and just stared at the floor. He turned and started walking again.

My chest felt like it was going to burst, I was holding back my tears and anger. It was better to walk away, so I did.

Jackson's pov

I turned away from Carly. I didn't do it in anger, but in sadness. After taking a few steps, I could not leave things like this, it was a mistake to walk away. I turned around but she was already gone.

Carly's pov

It was cold, all the rides were lit and full. I searched for a familiar face and bumped into someone.

JB: "Oh Carly there you are" he exclaimed.

Carly: "Leave me alone JB"

JB: "Whoa, hold on", he grabbed my hand. "What happened?"

Carly: "Min happen and everything got all messed up now"

JB: "Jackson", he let out a sigh. "Carly, I'll fix it"

Carly: "Forget it JB. Your promise was kept, what's done is done" I responded and walked away.

I kept wandering around the park until I stopped at a bridge. It was cold and I really wanted to leave. I grabbed my phone and tried to call Mark and the maknaes but the call wouldn't go through. I was thinking of what to do next, until I heard someone call me Carls.

I recognize that voice too well. 

Carly: "Matt..."
