The Dead Zone

The year is 2016. Twenty-year-old Rose was having a normal day, working with her friends Lana and Nick at one of the only restaurants in the small town of Rimbey. The snow had just finished melting, and it was looking like it was going to be a good year. However, there was a storm on the horizon, and it wasn't a typical spring shower.

"With a lunge, the thing on the ground sunk its teeth into her leg, the only place it could reach. I watched in terror as the men quickly dropped her, turned, and ran. My mouth opened and a scream slipped out. What used to be a man was tearing into the woman with its nails and teeth, and blood was everywhere. I hardly realized I was shouting. 'They left her there! Why didn't they take her with them, they could have saved her!'"
