Lost Memory

DAY 2: Her Smile

She was lost. She didn't know where to go. The manor is so huge. She found a swing in the garden. How did she manage to get there? She just sat in the swing. But there's still no expression on her face, cause of the incident. She just stared in nothing once again. She doesn't remember where she lives and if she still have relatives. She doesn't have an amnesia, she just couldn't remember it. Trauma.

She stood up then started to walk. She felt as if something or someone was staring at her so she suddenly turned around. But no one or nothing was there. Just the swing. Her emotionless eyes stared at the swing in just a few seconds then she continued walking again.

She was walking in the long hallway. She was wondering why there aren't any people there or maybe she was just in the part of the mansion that isn't noticeable by people. She just walked and walked then suddenly, she saw a girl not too far away from her, wearing a white dress. As she was about to approach the girl, suddenly, her body got frozen she couldn't move. The girl before her stopped. She couldn't explain the feeling, sweat dripped down on her face. She was just staring at the girl, she wanted to run but she couldn't. The girl slowly turned her head to look at her. The girl has an angelic face but for some reason she was afraid of the girl who was looking at her. The girl just stared at her then suddenly smiled. Her eyes widened, she couldn't believe of what she was seeing, she didn't want to believe it. A kind of smile that will bring shivers down your spine. Blood flowed down her eyes, her face was slowly melting. Blood. She wanted to scream and run away, it was just like a nightmare. That girl was still looking at her way, blood all over her body.

She stepped backward, slowly. When she got the courage to run, she ran, as fast as she can, almost tripping just to get away from that being.

Gasp... Gasp...

Finally, she got away from that 'monster' 'cause it's obvious that that being was not a human anymore.

But, she doesn't know where she is now. She was exhausted so she just sat there with her back leaning on the wall. She have to look for that man. But where?

She continued to walk, hoping not to encounter that monster again. Tears started rolling down her face.

"Where are you..?"

Sob.. Sob..

She was saying this repeatedly while wiping her tears with her hands. She have to get out of that place. But how? She suddenly stopped, looking at the floor.

"I was looking for you.. gasp.. gasp where have you been..?

She raised her head when she heard the familiar voice. Before her was the man she was looking for, his two hands placed on his knees, panting. She couldn't believe that the man would go looking for her. She was happy that she saw the man. She was really relieved. She suddenly ran and jumped at him. The man caught her in an embrace, a little surprise.

"You came.." Still sobbing, she said.

Still a little surprised at the sudden events, he smiled. "Yeah.. So don't cry.. I'm here now." The man said worriedly.

As they were hugging each other, the man talked in a serious voice.

"So what happened?"

She hesitated at first but she still told him what happened.

"I think I saw something." She said, her eyes closed.

"What is it?"

She opened her eyes and gently pushed him away. Looking down, she said.

"Don't worry about it. I'm okay now." She looked at him gently and smiled. A tender smile.

The man got surprised at her smile because..

she finally smiled.
