*Adrien's POV*

Weeks. It had been ten weeks since there was an Akuma attack.

Ladybug and Chat Noir were nowhere to be seen. Even the public had figured out that they wouldn't see their favorite heroes again. That they would never see their only heroes again.

They figured that Ladybug and Chat Noir must've defeated Hawkmoth, or that Hawkmoth had destroyed them. Nobody believed the latter, of course.

The statue of Ladybug and Chat Noir was always decorated with flowers, tokens, laurel wreaths, and other items of adoration. But the during the night, these items disappeared.

Some say it was Ladybug and Chat Noir, who were still alive. Others say that it is Hawkmoth, who steals the tokens due to jealousy. Very few say that it was Ladybug and Chat Noirs' ghosts.

Hah! Adrien thought. They don't even know the other half of it. Sure, Ladybug and Chat Noir were still alive, but they never defeated Hawkmoth.

He just... disappeared off the face of the Earth. Gone. Along with my partner, Ladybug. I haven't seen her since. It would be nice to know the reason he's gone, to satisfy my curiosity.

An old saying came back to him. Curiosity killed the cat... But satisfaction brought it back, He thought with a smirk.

"Dude, why in the world are you smirking? Smirking right now out of all times? I thought you would be one of those people who would cry while their wife is having a baby." Nino said beside him in the hospital chair, in the waiting room.

"Just thinking about something," Adrien replied.

"Thinking about a special someone?" Nino teased. "Yes," Adrien said. " I was thinking about Alya."

Nino nearly fell out of his chair. "So," Adrien said, nudging him. "When are you going to propose, my man?"

"I-I uh don't know," Nino muttered. "Come on," Adrien said. "You have to think of something."

"I don't know what she'll like!" Nino exclaimed.

I have it...

"Nino, my man," Adrien said. "I have just the solution."

"What?" Nino said. Just on time, a nurse came into the room. She looked at Adrien with a smile on her face. "Sir, your baby has arrived."

"Dude!" Nino said. "At least tell me what to do before you go see Marinette and the baby!"

"Sorry, Nino," Adrien said with a wink, getting up. "Baby's waiting,"

And with that, the former Sunshine of the Gabriel magazine went into the hospital room to see his family.

My family.  He thought. My very own family that I made. A family to call my own. I'll be the best father the world has ever seen. Just wait, my child that I don't know the name of, just you wait.
