Chapter 10 (Carbon monoxide)

Cita POV

I walked into me and Kita's room and saw my poor twin panting laid on his said on his bed

"Kita? Did you get sick again?" I asked stroking his hair

Kita nodded weakly and I sighed

It's the day after he first started getting sick and it's been only getting worse and if that wasn't enough he still didn't have a fever

My hair was back to its natural dark colour because Kita couldn't dye it but I didn't care because I just wanted him to be better and not worry about me

I gave Kita some water and pulled the blankets up to his chin again

"What could be causing this" I sighed

I sat by the bedside and waited for something, anything really that would say Kita would be okay

Zukyo walked in with a man and I didn't dare look up at them

"Is this the patient?" The man asked

"No, that's Cita, he's the twin. The patient is the one sleeping" Zukyo pointed to Kita

"Who is he?" I gave a low growl

"He's a doctor, Z called him for Kita, he's not going to do anything" Zukyo sighed pulling me up and away from Kita

"Let me go!" I snapped as Zukyo tried to hold me back from Kita and the doctor

After a minute I thought of Kita and what was best for him

I stoped fighting Zukyo and let him hold me back

The doctor started checking Kita and I just watched helplessly

The doctor checked for fever and checks pressure spots on the head, back, wrist, arm but the last one angered me

He tried pressing on Kita's stomach and that didn't end well

Kita's eyes snapped open and he threw up in the bucket at the bed side

I charged for the doctor but Zukyo held me back before I got within a meter

"How dare you!" I cried at the man to cause my twin pain in any way

The doctor backed up and bowed

"Sorry Cita and Kita, I was just testing a theory" the doctor smiled innocently

"Explain" I growled

"Well I've come to a diagnosis if it makes you feel better about my actions" The doctor bowed again

I glared at the man to tell him what to do

"It appears that Kita has Carbon monoxide poisoning, caused by over exposure to carbon monoxide, causes headaches, vomiting, stomach aches, confusion and weakness in limbs, namely collapsing and exhaustion, extreme signs are passing out and seizures" the doctor explained motioning to Kita

"Anything else? How do we cure him? Will he be okay?" I asked quickly, breaking from Zukyos hold and walking over to the doctor

"He treat it with pure oxygen, removing the specs of carbon monoxide, and only 50 out of 200 people die and after this is over at worse the only long term affects would be beaches" the doctor smiled

I nodded and kneeled next to Kita

I smiled falsely as I sign for the others to leave and they followed my wishes

Zukyo lead the doctor out for some tea and left me with Kita

I droped my smile and started to sob
