When Griffin got home he greeted his parents and went straight to his room. He looked around for a jacket with big pockets, and had come across an okay sized one. He put it on and went to the kitchen. He looked around for a small enough knife and took it with him. He grabbed a paring knife to stick in his jacket pocket. It wasn't the best idea but was the best option for defense.

After grabbing the paring knife, Griffin thought about how he would get to Frank's on time with his car. He couldn't just start the car outside and hope his parents didn't hear it. He told his dad that he was tired and going to sleep, and went to his room. Luckily, the house had only one floor so Griffin could sneak out the window. He waited until ten and then left. Griffin didn't have any other way to get there so he drove to Frank's house. Hopefully his parents didn't hear the car, or thought it was some other car.

Many, many minutes later, Griffin arrived at Frank's house and ran to the second alley with the fence. It didn't smell sweet anymore, so it was probably kids doing something back here that night. Griffin looked at his phone to check the time and it was around half past ten. He didn't know how long it would take to get there but rushed anyway. It was better to be early anyway.

Griffin turned left and walked down the odd street until he saw a fire hydrant on the right side. He turned right and saw the woods talked about in the text. Griffin's stomach was filled with knots as he continued to walk into the woods. He walked and walked but didn't see a cabin yet. He continued to walk into the dark woods for a while and then stopped to look at the time. It was five minutes to eleven. Griffin started to run, hoping that the cabin wasn't much farther.

Of course, at that moment Griffin trips over a tree root and fell down. He exclaimed in pain, "Oof!" To himself he thought, 'Well, it could be way worse. I could be bleedi- oh wait. I am... Well, I could have sprained something? Maybe I should just stop thinking...' . Griffin got back up but couldn't find his knife. He looked around for it but couldn't find it. It must've fallen out of his pocket, thankfully not stabbing him. He checked his phone quickly. It read 10:58. Griffin decided to walk towards the cabin instead of trying to find the knife. He could try to find it later as well, although the chance of finding it would be less. Right before the time turned to eleven, Griffin saw the cabin. He ran to it and went in immediately.

Once he got inside the cabin he looked around from the doorway. The interior walls were a dark wood, there were no windows, and there were a few photographs on the wall. They were a bit too faded to see what the pictures were supposed to be of, but there was one occurring person in all of them. It was a girl, she looked young, probably around eight years old. She had straight blonde hair, and was smiling in every photo.

As Griffin looked around some more he saw that there was a table, with four chairs around it. He saw a piece of paper on the table so he decided to walk over and look at it. One the paper he read, "Turn around Griffin". He turned around immediately and saw the door closing. He ran to it as fast as he could but it closed before he got a chance to stop it. He tried opening the door but it seemed to be locked somehow. There was another note on the back reading, "You should stay here for a while."

Next after reading this, Griffin took out his phone. At this moment though, surprisingly enough he has no service. Griffin tried the door once more, and realized that he had to pull the door, not push it. "What a stupid thing to do" Griffin thought to himself. Still, he wondered about why the note said he should stay there for a while. Griffin thought that he might as well stay for a while anyway, because it wouldn't hurt anyone.

About half an hour later Griffin started to get bored. He even started to contemplate about going back to try and find his knife again, but didn't because he was worried that when he left it would mean something bad for Xavier. He went to the door to see if anyone was outside. Right as he reached for the doorknob, it opens and causes him to fall back and almost fall again. It turns out to be Jason.

Jason starts to talk saying, "Yo, Griffin? What are you doing here?".

"Wait no, Jason. Why are you here?"

"Dude, I asked you first. But since you'd like to know, this is a little cabin me and Frank found. We use it to store the drinks we find. Seriously dude, how did you find this?"

Well, at least this makes some sort of sense to Griffin. But why would he get told to come here if it was a place that perhaps only Frank and Jason knew about it? Did they know something about Xavier or was this cabin not as hidden as they thought? What about the two notes? Griffin wouldn't tell Jason the whole truth anyway, just in case.

"Well, um.. I was looking around. Xavier didn't come home last night so I decided to look around here. I guess I managed to come around here some how."

He got a concerned look from Jason. "That's weird as heck man! I'll help you look for him then. Me and Frank have gone through these woods so many times, I know where everything is by memory!"

"Oh wow, thanks Jason. I didn't mean to come in here by the way- Well, I mean I wouldn't have done so if I had known that this was yours and Franks- actually, it's not your cabin- unless it is of course but... Never mind, I'm rambling. Thanks a bunch Jason."

"Yeah sure dude. You have probably been searching here a while. Come with me, I can help you relax some about this before we start looking for Xavier."

Now it was Griffins turn to look at Jason oddly. "Relax? I hope you don't mean alcohol or something like that..."

"C'mon dude, live a little bit! It isn't like a drink or two of beer will kill you! And it's not gonna make you more stupid either. Plus, I wasn't thinking much of drinking. We can do that too though. There will be no more worrying tonight, got it?"

Griffin worried a bit about this. He didn't want to be drinking this late at night for one, and it would be very irresponsible of him to do. Jason said not to worry about it but he didn't know if Jason was going to 'relax' as well. "I don't know... Maybe, but at least water it down a bit. Or a lot. No worries though, all right. But at least tell me all of what I'm getting into!"

Jason laughed for a second. "Nah dude, we're not watering down the beer! Stop worrying, I'll make sure you are fine. I bet I could hold down much more liquor than you can anyway, and still feel pretty sober! Come on!"

With that, Jason grabbed onto Griffins arm and pulled him out the door, letting go after they get out and had Griffin follow along.
