The Rescuing

Oh God.

Liam.

He had me by the throat in the back alleyway of the club that Chloe had dragged me to.

"What, what do you want?" I stuttered.

"You know better than to mess with me," he spat.

"I said what do you want?!" I repeated in fear.

He touched my raven haired locks and smirked.

"Get back together with me. I'm honestly sorry, about what happened with Delilah," he pleaded, desperately.

"You lying, filthy, abusive man!" I yelled and slapped him round the face. "Don't you dare mention *her* name again!"

He clutched the bright red mark that I had created on his face. For a moment, I could have sworn I saw his eyes flash red.

"Oh you did not just go there." He yelled.

Suddenly there was a flash of fists, and some unknown superhero had dodged in the way to fight Liam off for me. The fight seemed to go on for what seemed like ages, and I was secretly cheering the handsome stranger on inside my head. Eventually Liam picked himself off the floor and legged it, afraid of this stranger. My hero turned around, and I stopped breathing for a moment. He was drop-dead gorgeous.

Like REALLY gorgeous.

"Are you alright?" He asked me.

"Ummm...sorry?" I was breathtaken.

"Are you okay?" He repeated.

"Yeah... and you are, handsome?" I gasped and quickly clutched my mouth. He chuckled.

"Oh my gosh, I did not just say that... did I?" He laughed again.

"I'm Callum. And you?" Callum asked me.

"I'm breath-taken." I clutched my mouth AGAIN. When did I get this daring? I needed to zone this down and play this out before I embarrassed myself any further. I stretched my arm out to shake his hand.

"I'm Alex," I said.

"Alex," he said. I liked the way he said my name. It made me feel wanted and special. Okay, Alex. Snap out of it. You only just met the guy.

"Your bleeding," he pointed at my forehead.

"Oh," I reached my hand up to my head and winced at the pain.

Callum tore a sheet of material off his shirt to apply pressure to my wound. It wasn't life threatening, but it was a miracle that I hadn't passed out already.

"I need to take you to the hospital, the wound could get infected," he explained to me. "Who was that perv?"

"My ex, Liam."

"Yeash, you do not pick your exes well then."

"Tell me about it."

Callum whipped out his phone to call an ambulance. I panicked.

"No-no don't call the ambulance!"

"Why not? Your clearly hurt!" He exclaimed.

"And that would give Liam all the more reason to hurt me!" I said.

"Fine. Anywhere or anyone you want to look after you for the night?"

"Yeah, my best friend, Chloe. She's probably wondering where I am as I was supposed to leave the club with her."

He passed me his phone and I typed Chloe's postcode into it.

I stepped forward and rang on Chloe's doorbell, and she immediately opened it.

"Alex!" She embraced me.

"Your head?!" She said.

"It's a long story, I'll explain to you later," I said, indicating that there was someone stood next to me, Callum.

"Who is this then?" She giggled.

"My rescuer!" I said. Callum blushed.

"Would you like to come in, both of you?" Chloe gestured.

It looked as if Callum was about to say yes, until something caught his eye. It caught my eye aswell. There were flashes coming from behind the bush, the paparazzi.

"Callum? Who are they?" I asked.

"No-one," he murmured, "I need to get going."

And with that he left.

I didn't think that I would ever see Callum again.

I was wrong.
