Tasha woke to Izzy and Darkness barking, and Mckenzie and Bryce screaming. Izzy stood at the window barking at the tree line. Tasha rushed to the window. Someone stood at the edge of the woods staring up into the window.
"Drake," she shook Drake's shoulder, "wake up, quick, someone is outside."
he jumped to his feet and ran down the stairs, slamming the front door behind him.
Mckenzie and Bryce screamed louder from their crib. Tasha lifted them both into her arms. "Good morning, my beautiful babies," she cooed and kissed their foreheads before laying them on the bed for a diaper change.
Once they were changed, she carried Mckenzie and Bryce downstairs, knocking on Emily's door before lying them in their bassinet.
"What were Izzy and Darkness barking about?" Emily asked while stifling a yawn.
"Someone was standing in the tree line," Tasha replied as he grabbed the phone and dialed Justin's number. Justin picked up on the second ring.
"Drake needs you. Someone was in the tree line this morning," Tasha told Justin. She hung up and went to make bottles for Mckenzie and Bryce.
"Who do you think it was?" Emily asked from the living room.
"I don't know, it was a female, but that's all I know," Tasha stopped. "Has anyone seen Jewels lately?"
"Come to think of it, no one has mentioned her," Emily replied.
Tasha's mind buzzed with questions as the microwave beeped. Handing a bottle to Emily, Tasha picked up Bryce and sat on the couch to feed him. His eyes were bloodshot from all the crying Bryce had done. She wiped away the tears on Bryce's cheeks. His wide eyes stared up into hers, his little belly moving up and down as he breathed. His hand in a fist while it rested on his belly.
"Why are you watching my family?" Drake asked Jewels as he tackled her to the ground.
"Bossman told me to," she replied gasping for air.
"Who the hell is this Bossman and where is he?" He demanded, pushing a little harder on her windpipe.
"He's the boss of the operation, he tells us what to do and we do it?" She gasped.
"Did Nell give your boss my message?" He asked.
"He did, but the boss doesn't care. He wants what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it. Drake, Bossman will come for you, and when he does you need to be ready," she replied, a tear streamed down her cheek.
"Hold back your fake tears," he scoffed.
"They aren't fake, Drake, I'm scared for you. The boss wants your babies and will stop at nothing to ace them and your pack," she sat up.
he stood up and shook his head, "no one will take my pack or my children. They will have to go through everyone, including you. You are still the Omega and my dad can kill you," he took a deep breath. "I want you to be the informant and tell me when this guy plans on making his move. If you betray me, I will tear you apart limb by limb."
She shuddered, "I understand."
"Good. Get going before I change my mind," he nodded and she took off.
Tasha got Mckenzie and Bryce dressed for the trip to the airport. Everything was ready, she waited for Drake to return and shower so they could pick up Lila and Richard.
Two hours later, Tasha and Drake arrived at the airport to pick up Lila and Richard. They flew in to visit Tasha and the twins for two weeks, and she couldn't have been happier. When she saw Richard and Lila leave the terminal, she ran into their waiting arms. Tears of happiness ran down her face while her grandparents held her in their arms. Mckenzie slept in her arms. Tasha smiled and pulled back so her grandparents could see Mckenzie. Lila took Mckenzie out of Tasha's arms with a smile on her face.
