As I walked out of my apartment door and went downstairs I felt as scared as ever. I walked over to the bar. As I walked in the door Mr. Lenny yelled at me. This is how the conversation went along.
Mr. Lenny: Well look who came in 5 minutes late. Do you think I can accept this sort of behavior?
Me: But Mr. Lenny there is no one here and for your information I am actually 5 minutes early. Oh and if you could tell time you could see that that large clock over there says it's actually 5:55. These doors open at 6:00. Get your facts straight and don't EVA yell or even talk to me like that again.
I blew a bubble and it popped right in his face then I stormed off into the back to prepare the trays. Mr. Lenny was in such a great shock. As I walked into the back a pretty brunette girl walked up to me. And she said...........
Brunette: Hey I saw you out there speaking to Mr.Lenny, you're pretty brave.
Me: Oh yea... I...umm... Had a pretty bad experience with working at a bar. To survive in this place you have to stick up for yourself.
Brunette: I'm surprised Mr. Lenny didn't growl back at you. He has a real tendency to be a real a double snakes.
Me: Umm..... come again an a double...
Brunette: You know a donkey.. umm...
Me: Oh I gotcha. And that is pretty true.( Ha )
Brunette: Oh by the way my name is Nicky.
Me: Kaitlyn
Nicky: Well nice to meet you.
Me: You too. Ok I think we should start getting busy I see tons of people coming in.
Nicky: Okay
The day was a struggle. I tried to be nice to those freaking annoying customers. But I swear they were giving me a real hard time. One lady asked for a large cool lemonade and fries. I brought the out her order and the lady said," Oh no sorry I have changed my mind over the terribly long wait I would now like fried chicken with some Coca Cola and BLEH! These fries are cold can you bring me another one." Inside I felt like throwing the drink in her face and shoving the fries down her bra, if she was wearing one. But I just kept a smile on my face and pleasantly delivered her other order to her and I made sure the drink and food was EXTRA hot so she wouldn't ask me to go back in the kitchen. And I swear the whole day went like that with every customer. And it was a super busy day in New York at The Lenny's Bar but at least I got $500 in tips. I was so excited I made enough money to finally move out of that crappy apartment. That goes to show how much money that apartment is worth. I walked back to my apartment happier than ever. But in front of my door was the man I wish I could have killed when I had the chance.
Who is the man standing in front of her apartment door.? And why does Kaitlyn hate this man so much?
