Minty was a devilish cat. Always scratching me when ever I walked by. I wanted to be friends, as I had always been a cat person before. Minty only spoke to me once, to tell me that I was sitting too close to her on the couch. As I scooted away, She pushed me off.
"I'm sorry, Minty," I barked, "I believe that was your tail I stepped on." She hissed at me and pushed me off saying, "You STUPID dog! You're sitting too close to me! Don't touch me with your UGLY paws!"
That was the last and first time she ever spoke to me.Time Skip- 3 years later.
"YOU STUPID MUTT!" My owner, Old George was drinking that foul liquid again. I ducked as he threw his boot at the wall next to me. "I'm sorry," I whined. He grabbed me by the tail and threw me outside. I shivered in the cold snow of winter.
Minty had died a few weeks ago due to our masters bad drinking habits. In one of his fits, he had beat the poor cat to death with his cane right before my eyes. I began to cry, at my cruel master, Minty, everything. I didn't even know what kind of dog I was.
I knew my mother was with me, even when most pups got taken away, She went with me, I was always the weird looking pup. She fought very hard to stay with me, saying that I was the last one. I still don't understand. I stopped crying when I heard growling near me. I sat straight up, alert for danger. I then heard a voice, "Heh, kicked out were ya?" An old wolf approached me, wait, how do I know he's a wolf? I've never seen one. He had gray and white fur, I could easily see that he must have been very strong in his youth. "Yeah, I was dumped out here for accidentally stepping on my masters favorite rug." I said, carefully keeping my eyes on him, I could tell he was a leader, but of what I didn't know. I wonder if I can impress him with my fast reflexes! Of course my first thought was to impress him.
He scowled saying, "You, serve those miserable beings? You disgust me. You're a wolf of green blood for the love of God." I looked at him, puzzled.
He looked shocked that I didn't understand. Could I be a wolf, a real wolf?!
"Follow me," He grinned as he turned and headed through the bushes towards the lake.My first book, so don't judge too hard! Also, don't call me a furry. I just like wolves, K?
