Olivia O'Riley is twenty-six years old. She has never kissed, held hands with, and barely even hugged a man. She is basically your stereotypical introvert. It is her dream to live a normal life and be independent, but it never happened. At twenty-six she is finally getting her break. An ad for a waitress at a diner was posted online and Olive got the job. Her mother said that a girl like her would be in danger working, but Olivia decided to no longer let her mom dictate her life. For a long time she just went with what her mother said and merely replied, "Yes, mother." or " Of course, mother." Because mother was always right.
Olive had always been pushed the hardest in her family. Her brother, Eli, was a pot-head his whole high school career and her sister, Aliyah, was the golden first born child. However, it seemed everything Olivia did, in her mother's eyes, was wrong. Their mom turned a blind eye to everything the other two did and let it all out on Olive. She was pushed for Honor's Society, High Honor Role, and to do well at sports. She let her mother control her life for a long time, but this job was the first step the breaking that curse.
So, Olive got the job and a long string of events lead her to a life, a man, and a home. Sadly, that string had a few loose strands and secrets were revealed. Will Olivia be able to remain cool or have the years of pushing finally pushed her too far?
