An Alpha Version of Bets (i)

The emanating sound coming from Jisoo's fingertips tapping away on the keyboard of his laptop gave the small quiet apartment a monotonous ambience. It was nearly a week since the boy came out of his apartment, relying only on the canned food he stocked away in his small pantry. The teenager lived alone with his dog as his only constant companion (and Kim Jae Hwan who in goodwill and annoyance visited him every morning and evening to check up on how he was doing.)

Boo, a stray dog who Jisoo happened to adopt a year ago when he used to work in a local animal shelter near his home, jumped on his couch and sat beside the boy who was busy sending in his personal resumes and audition videos to several companies and agencies for the past 3 weeks. The poor dog was starting to get hungry so he tried to take his older brother's attention from his work and to his personal needs.

"What do you want Boo?" Jisoo asked Boo as he clicked send and hoping that Maroo would take notice of his new message (he sent them a couple of audition videos a month ago and he was getting tired of waiting.) Boo hopped of the couch and stared at him, his eyes glistening as he tried to tell his owner that it was time for dinner. Jisoo smiled at him and unwrapped the blanket on his shoulders letting it fall on the floor as he stood up and walked to the small kitchen that was connected to his living room.

Boo wagged his tail as Jisoo poured some dog food into his bowl waiting eagerly for his owner's signal. Jisoo snapped his fingers and Boo happily ate his food. A knock came from Jisoo's front door when he was washing his hands in the kitchen sink.

Jisoo sighed irritatingly as he heard Jaehwan laughing from behind his front door.

"What do you want now?" Jisoo rolled his eyes as he opened his fromt door. Jaehwan smiled at him and went right in ignoring Jisoo as he tried to pull him back out.

"You can't just enter by force! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Jisoo hit Jaehwan in the back as he followed him into his kitchen. Jaehwan laughed and pushed Jisoo away, "Go away. I'm here for Boo." Jisoo stood back in shock as Jaehwan kneeled down and petted Boo who was still busy eating.

Jaehwan frowned when he realized the dog didn't pay him any attention and he stood up facing his bestfriend who was fuming with anger. "So how does it feel being ignored?" Jisoo snapped as he walked back into his living room.

Jisoo halted into a stop when he noticed another person was leaning on the wall in front of his apartment. Jisoo peeked at him but he couldn't recognized who he was.

This must be Jaehwan's other friends, Jisoo thought to himself as he felt Jaehwan walk by him and open the door. The guy took his earphones off and looked at Jaehwan and at Jisoo who pushed Jaehwan away from the door, "should I go or is now a bad time?"

"No, no, no! It's fine. Come in! Come in!" Jisoo stuttered out as he opened his door and greeting him with a small bow. Jisoo angrily glanced at Jaehwan who sat on his couch and smirked at him. "Who are you by the way?" Jisoo asked as he closed the door when the guy walked in and took his shoes off and placed them by the door. The guy took of his windbreaker and Jisoo grabbed it almost too hard eliciting an awkward laugh from both of them as well as Jaehwan who trying to hold his in watching his bestfriend fail at meeting new people. "I'm Kim Sang Bin." He smiled his eyes vanishing from existence offering his hand to Jisoo who neatly put his windbreaker on a stand by the door.
