Chapter 1

I fell, my arm snagged on loose rope and hung off Saint Paul's Cathedral. I was going to die. Creeping, he edged closer an closer to the rope. Leaning, he gazed down at me having the time of his life. His exposed his straight razor from his pocket- feeble as it looks it was deadly and leaves scars unable to heal. At that point he edged the razor closer toward the rope strand.

"Looks like this is the end"

"Go to hell Dismay!"

Then the rope snapped. My hair whipped wildly around my face and my leather clothes felt like dead weight. Grasping, i desperately tried to catch something. Suddenly my arm was yanked from me. A piercing scream echoed over London. I hung limply from my saviour

"It's alright I got you baby girl", then the world went dark...

It was dark. The air was musty and old. I was sat on a hospital bed. It was hard and uncomfortable. The doors swung open however she saw no light. Cold hands were placed on my own.

"Please wake up- I need you Lucy..." then his lips crushed against mine moving softly with the rhythm of his heartbeat. He pulled away at the sound of swinging doors only to be scolded by the old man I knew too well, Spenkeckle. My eyelids fluttered open but neither noticed their argument was increasing.

"Your a bad influence to her, dragging a 16 year old into your world. She's a young girl!"

"Don't you think I understand that?! I care for her. I.. I..."

"Yes we know you and your feelings-if only she knew"

"If she knew, she would know everything- I don't think I can tell her that now"

"Yes yes, of course. I just worry about her- he reminds me of my daughter. I don't want her to end up like what happened to her"

"Neither do i"

I had heard enough. I closed my eyes and pretended I had herd nothing.

"James?" I faintly whispered

"Oh my god Lucy you're alive!" His embrace was comforting and tears brimmed in my eyes. Spenkeckle left the room. I started to cry.

"Oh my baby, don't cry." His thumb wiped my tears and his hands cupped my face. I cautiously sat up making sure not to displace my arm. He grabbed me and hugged me so tight I didn't want to let go. My tears dropped onto his red checked shirt where below his dark black jeans tightly clung to his figured muscular legs. I never wanted him to leave...
