Mephisto
When I wake up the next day, I feel a thousand times better. After sleeping for a while yesterday, I felt better, but now I feel like I was never sick at all.
I leap out of bed, grab my shirt, and after putting it on, race towards my door.
Before I leave my room, I realized, I should grab the hair clip my family got for me. I remember Praxina being so excited when she gave it to me, she has one as well. She told me our parents bought the hair clips for us, and that the green and black one was for me.
I smile at the memory. Praxina would like it if I wore it.
I walk to my dresser and grab the clip off the top. I look at my reflection in the mirror and put the clip above my left ear. Once it was on, I admired myself with it on.
"Nice!" I said to myself.
I then walk back towards my door and open it.
I walk down the hallway to reach the living room. When I get there, only my father was sitting there.
"Hey! How are you feeling?" he asked me.
"Much better. I think I'm ready to learn more today!" I said with excitement.
"That's great! But are sure you're feeling up to it?" he asks with concern.
"Yeah, I'm sure," I reply.
"Okay, but if you feel sick or weak or something like that, just tell me."
"Okay," I replied with a stifled sigh. I love my father, but he and mother can be such worry some people when it comes to Prax and me.
Speaking of Prax, I hope she's ready to learn today.
This is going to be fun!

I was so thrilled when I woke up to see that Mephisto was feeling better, and I got even more excited when he said we would learn more today. I had been waiting for days to learn more from father, and today is the day that's going to happen!
Right now Mephisto and I are standing side by side in our backyard, awaiting for our fathers instructions.
"I'm so excited I can hardly stand still!" I think excitedly.
"Okay you two! Today is a little different from the last lessons we previously had," father says to us.
"As of now I have taught you both all the basic spells that you will be able to handle for your ages. I mentioned before that only some spells are safe enough for you to use at the time," he drones on.
"I wish he would hurry up and get to what we're learning," I thought, feeling impatient. I shift around my weight from one leg to the other.
"So today, I'm teaching you how to fly!"
"What!?" Mephisto and I cry at the same time.

"You're teaching us to fly?" Mephisto exclaims, his face twisting into an excited one.

"Yes, I am!"
"This is going to be awesome!" Mephisto cries. When I look at him he looks so excited that he'll burst.
Father smiles at us and I also crack a smile. This was going to be awesome!
"Wait, does this mean you know how to fly?" Mephisto asks.
"Yes, of course I can!" father replies.
Then he effortlessly rises up into the air, rising above the trees. He looks down at us and waves. Mephisto and I wave back, my brother is nearly jumping with excitement while I can't stop smiling.
A few seconds later father flies back down to join us, Mephisto and I are beaming.
"That is awesome!" Mephisto cries, I nod quickly in agreement.

"So you guys ready to learn?" father asks.

Mephisto and I look at each other, then back at father.
"Yes!"

I paced around my throne room as I tried to figure out my next move. It has become a popular proclivity for me, pace around, think, pace some more, think.
Nearly ten years ago, my reign began. I have yet to make another move and capture Princess Iris before she can complete her mission. Her job is to collect oracle gems to complete the crown of Ephedia, the tool that I require to become unstoppable. Not that I'm not now, I just need more power.
I turn around to face my partner, Banes. He's an Ephedian tiger whom I found in the forest many years ago. We've been a team ever since.

"What should we do Banes?" I ask him.
Banes responds with a growl, flicking his tail back and forth.

I face away from him and let out a growl myself.
"This would be so much easier if I could leave this damned planet!" I say to myself.
A few years ago, when I found out Iris was able to escape, I had tried to leave the planet and track her down myself. Alas, it was all in vain. Ephedia will not let me leave, I'm trapped here for whatever reason fate has decided for me.
I walk up to the Ephedian crown located in the middle of the throne room of this castle. It is encased in a protective barrier I am unable to get passed. I sighed as I starred at it, it taunted me with it's bright glow despite having no gems.

"Lucky for us, Iris's mission will help us too," I say to Banes without tearing my eyes away from the crown.
"Once she completes the crown, I will be able to take it and use it for evil instead of good. Ephedia will be permanently mine!"

I look over at Banes. He continues to flick his tail, growing impatient.

"The problem is I need that damned power now," I say, looking at Banes. He nods in agreement.
"Since I can not leave Ephedia, I'll have to find someone else to do my dirty work for me," I say as I reach my throne, then I sit on it. I rest my chin on my fist, my elbow propped up on the arm rest.
"But who?"
