When every child reaches the age of sixteen, their school holds a ceremony for the year group (they can be a few months off being sixteen as long as they are in the correct academic year group).
In this ceremony, every teacher that teaches anyone in the year has to be present, along with every child. In age order, people go up to get an injection of clear liquid into their arms.
Five minutes later, a 'tattoo' appears somewhere on the child's skin. The size and vividness of the 'tattoo' represents how much their personality is built off their feelings.
Write from the point of view of a girl/boy who suddenly has THREE tattoos appear on them. This is the first time that more than one has appeared on anyone. The first is a giant [INSERT ANIMAL] that runs down their right/left arm, the second is a giant pair of wings down their back, the third is a tiny [INSERT INSECT] that is on the inside of their left/right wrist.OPTIONAL SECOND PLOT TWIST:
The girl/boy doesn't only have three 'tattoos' but can also make them real. E.g. The wings can become real and they can use them to fly, the animal can become real and life-sized (walking around independently of the person but connected by a thin beam of [INSERT COLOUR] light to their arm).
