Stars Mean Hope, One Tiny Star Is All The Hope We Need.

The summer night had never seemed so hot in Elizabeth's life.

Everything shined against the moonlight, and crickets chirped in harmony. Walking through her grandparents field, like she did every night she couldn't sleep, was beauty itself. Wheat grew from the earth and flowers glowed silver.

Tonight was different though. It was a full moon night. Every full moon night Elizabeth would sit on the hill and listen to the stream churn below, while the owls in the tall trees hooted along. Bats nestled in tiny caves and hung upside down. Stars sparkled the night, like a thick layer of glitter shining in the distance. The haze of the sunlight was now dim, like one single purple and pink paint brush stroke across the sky.

There was a whole other lifestyle below the hills of her grandparents farm. Thoughts danced across her mind as she picked up her pace so she wouldn't miss it. Only one rare night in summer would something extordinary happen. Arriving at the tip of the hill, Elizabeth got into a position to watch the show below her.

It began.

Animals peaked out of there spots to get a look of the purple mist that would surround the floor.

The purple mist floated along the river turning it to a beautiful blue and the trees with their leaves turning a crisp green.

Elizabeth would have gotten closer, had the person controlling the mist not want to kill anybody who got close to her night.

Tonight would be different though. It all started with a gasp. The woman glanced up and shrieked with horror. Elizabeth stumbled back and tripped. Horror hit her as she realized she was falling to her death. Elizabeth hit the stream with a huge splash.

Green light surronded her as she welcomed the black darkness into her horror stricken mind.

Water clogged her ears and she could faintly make out the sounds of fighting. The woman yelped in pain and purple mist trickled into her palms again. The man with the green mist dove into the stream, sending ripples throughout the water. Green light expanded throughout the water as he searched frantically for her.

Elizabeth had been knocked unconscious by the time the boy got to her. "Oh dear. Your highness?"
