“Wait…you WANT me to ask you out?” he asked. “Of course I do…I love you Zayn” I said. He was frozen for a few seconds, then stared smiling. He didn’t even talk, he just ran up to me and kissed me again. After about a minute, even though it felt like an eternity, we came apart. “Ok, now that that’s over with. Ivy, will you be my girlfriend…again?” he asked. I laughed. “I wouldn’t say no for anything” I said. Suddenly, I turned around and saw the other lads come out from behind the bushes. Louis’ phone was playing Half a Heart, he unlocked it and shut it off. “So it was you guys” I said. “Who else would’ve been playing it at such a romantic moment?” Louis asked. I laughed. “Congrats you 2” Liam said. I smiled as Zayn hugged me from behind. “You 2 are so cute together. Just promise us something, never break-up, I don’t want Zayn going through a depression again” Harry said. I laughed. “I don’t intend on it” I said. “Good, because I know Zayn won’t be getting over you anytime soon” Niall said. “It took me 4 years to just consider it” Zayn said. We all laughed. When I told the girls about what happened, they were thrilled. Madison told me she knew from day 1 when the boys arrived that Zayn liked me. “Wait, how did you know?” I asked. “Well, the boys came earlier that morning. In the kitchen, we were talking about relationships. Harry had said something about Ivy, and Zayn got all defensive. I asked who it was about, he said a girl named Ivy Harrison that he had dated 4 years earlier…but I didn’t say anything, I figured I’d let you 2 find your way to each other” she said. I smiled and hugged her. “Thanks for bringing us back together” I said. “I didn’t intend to…but you’re welcome” she said. Things went like the normally would do in a typical love story. Zayn proposed to me at 25, and we’re now 35 with 2 gorgeous daughters. Our older, Daisy, is 8 and our younger, Rose, is 2. Zayn and I live a long, happy life together. Ex is just a word alright. Just because someone is your ex doesn’t mean they can’t be yours again. Don’t give up on exes completely, if you still love that person, just go for it. That’s how I ended up in the place I am today, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.
