I woke up early the next morning, Madison’s party is tomorrow. I woke up and saw that Madison was still sleeping, but her phone was buzzing. I leaned over and picked up her phone. She had a text message from Niall, I looked at it to make sure it wasn’t too important. The message said “hey babe, the lads are I are on our way now,” wonderful. Madison woke up next to me and looked over at me. “What’re you doing with my phone!?” she asked. “You got a text from Niall, he said that him and the boys are on their way” I said. “Yes! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see my babe again” she said. “Yeah…” I said. “You ok?” she asked. I tried to hold the tears back, but it seemed almost impossible now. Madison was right last night, and I finally accepted that. I do miss Zayn…so fucking much. I do still wanna be with him, I never wanted us to end. I guess that explains why I can’t throw that goddamn sweater away. “Yeah, I’m fine” I said. It only takes a second after 1 tear falls down my face that Madison wraps me in a hug. “Calm down Ivy, it’s ok” she said. “I…I…” I began. “I know…you miss him” she said. After a minute of me crying, I pulled away and looked at her. “Why…why can’t I get over him?” I asked. “Sometimes it takes a very long time for love to go away. I remember when you went out with him, you LOVED him no doubt” she said. “But he didn’t love me” I said. “I wouldn’t say that, I saw the look of love in his eyes…maybe something bad happened that night and he was just angry and confused…maybe he didn’t mean to break-up with you” she said. I gave her a weird look. “What have you been drinking girl? That’s ridiculous” I said. “I’m serious, you don’t know why he ended it. Like I said yesterday…can you at least try to talk to him?” she asked. I sighed, you know, I don’t wanna ruin Madison’s night because I can’t get along with Zayn. I gotta be a good friend. “Alright…I’ll talk to him” I said. “Good” she said. I went home that night and walked upstairs. I got changed into my pajamas for bed. When I went to get into my bed, I saw Zayn’s sweater still on my bed where I left it. I sighed and walked over to it. I slowly picked it up. I felt the sleeves, the sweater is still as soft as ever. I remember cuddling with Zayn when he wore this. I leaned in and smelt it, it still smells like him. I pulled my covers down and crawled into bed, still holding the sweater. I hugged the sweater and pressed it against my chest. Hugging it brought me a huge sense of comfort, I sighed. “I miss you Zayn” I said. I fell asleep a couple of minutes later. When I woke up the next morning, my phone was loaded with texts about the party. People were texting me left and right talking about how fun it’s going to be. I agree with them, Madison’s parties are always a blast. I know I’ll have a good time…it’s just that the nerves are getting to me. I spent the whole day doing nothing, constantly glaring at the clock to see how much time until the party. You may think I’m a little crazy, but how would you feel if you had to face your ex-boyfriend…who you’re still in love with!? Time rolled by, it seemed like forever, but the time of the party finally came along. Of all the times I walked into Madison’s house, this one was full of fear.
