Chapter Two

Riley: Hey peaches I know we were meant to meet at mine right after school but I have study group before. Just make yourself at home, I will be there soon

Maya groaned. She hated going to Rileys house after school by herself. Cory normally stays back to plan lessons and Topanga is off busy doing lawyer things so she was always stuck with Josh. Not that this was a bad thing at all but sometimes it made her feel a bit awkward. Josh of course was pretty relaxed with the whole thing and didn't mind hanging out with Maya.

Maya didn't even bother knocking she basically loved them she walked in and sat on the couch. Not long after Josh came in from down the hall.

"Oh Maya I didn't hear you come in. You should have called out"

"It's all good. I'm just waiting for Riley to finish her study group. She told me just to wait here"

"Oh okay what are you watching?"

"One tree hill, ssshhh it's getting to the good part"

"Can't we watch something better?" He said as he sat down.

He knew he had asked the wrong question after Maya turned to him and glared. He saw the remote next to her and decided to take things into his own hands. He reached over and picked up the remote to change the channel but Maya decided she would fight him for it. They were pulling it backwards and forwards before Josh ended up on top of Maya. They both laughed but it stopped quickly as Josh looked down at Maya. He had never really noticed how beautiful she was especially when she smiled. She was a bit confused as to what was going on. His eyes were flicking down to her lips. He had never really thought of Maya in anyway other than an extra little sister. He went to lean down when the doorbell rang.

They both quickly pulled away and Josh got up to get the door. Much to Maya's disgust the voice she heard from the other side of the door was Josh's girlfriend Alexa. Alexa walked into to see Maya and sent her a smirk. She turned around and began to make out with Josh.

"I'm going to go wait for Riley in her room"

Josh could see how uncomfortable she was. After what had just happened he wanted nothing more than to kick Alexa out and just hang out with Maya. But he couldn't he needed to forget about that little moment. Maya was his sisters best friend.

Maya began pacing backwards and forwards in Rileys room. What had happened in the lounge room made her freak out. In her mind there was no way Josh had felt what she did in that moment. Of course Alexa being Alexa had picked the right time to turn up. It's like she had some kind of super power. Anytime her and Josh would hang out she would all of a sudden turn up. She was brought out of her daze when Rileys door opened but it wasn't Riley at the door it was Alexa.

"I'm going to tell you this once. Josh is my boyfriend, he isn't interested in little girls like you so stay away from him"

"He may be your boyfriend but does he know about all the guys you hook up with. He isn't going to be too happy when he finds out when your meant to be out with your friends you are really whoring yourself around. Now use the door bye"

Maya slammed the door in her face. She had no idea where the confidence had come from but she knew that Josh had to find out the truth whether he felt the same way as her or not.
