Maya was having one of those days where everything was going wrong. When she thought the day couldn't get any worse Alexa came up to her at her locker.
"Well, well hunter it seems you can't stay away from my boyfriend. I think I'm going to take things into my own hands"
Maya groaned. She wanted so badly to slam alexas face into the lockers but she wanted to make an effort because Josh for some reason liked her. It was hard to keep her cool all the time.
"I honestly don't know what your talking about Alexa. I'm keeping my distance"
"Well your about to hate that life of yours a little bit more"
Maya knew she was serious about what she said, there was no doubt that Alexa was a massive bitch who always got away with what she did. Something Maya also knew was that she had Josh wrapped around her little finger. Moving to her next class she completely forgot about what had happened.
She went to her locker fishing out her books when a very angry Josh came up to her and slammed it shut right in front of her face. Looking into his eyes she was not sure what she had done.
"Maya seriously I can't believe you, I thought I knew you better"
"What's with the drama queen act Matthews"
"Alexa told me what you said to her not to mention the marks on her arm. I knew you didn't like her but this is a bit much My"
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She knew Alexa was ready to fight for Josh but he believed the lies. He believed her over someone he had known his whole life.
"What did she say this time?"
"That you called her a slut and hit her. I thought you were better than that"
"I am better then that. I have no idea why you believe her ahead of me"
"She's my girlfriend Maya of course I'm going to believe her. Also I know what your like"
"What I'm like?" Her voice started to raise, it caught Lucas' attention from across the hall. He came between them trying to calm the situation.
"You will do anything to get your way, I know about this little infatuation you have with me. It's never going to happen, I love Alexa"
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He had never once picked up on it let alone spoke to her that way. Lucas face dropped, he couldn't believe what Josh was saying.
"Fuck you Matthews" she spat before slamming her locker and walking down the hall.
Lucas looked at his best friend not knowing what was actually going on in his head.
"Are you for real Josh? How could you speak to her like that. You really need to get your shit together"
Leaving him to think about what he had done Lucas knew there was only one other person that would help him fix this situation. Although he had been friends with Josh for years he had never got past that awkward small talk with his younger sister Riley. But if it meant he would wake up to himself and fix what he had just done he would find her.
Walking through the hall Riley was at her locker, obviously oblivious to what had just happened putting her books away ready for lunch. He nervously approached her, there was a reason he was always awkward around her.
"Hey Riley, I really need your help"
