It had been a few months later after the commotion with Blake in the hotel room. Everything was starting to get even more amazing as time progressed.

Erich and Colton were going pretty steady. Lauren and I made a deal to lay off sex so much because relationships aren't always about sex.

Anyways.

I had a job as a lifeguard. Get this, it was right at the hotel so I didn't have to go far.

Lauren was always teasing me though. She would come down in my favorite bathing suit on her and strut right past me, it was completely tortuous.

The reason I got this job is because I was planning on buying something for Lauren, specifically a promise ring.

When I had finally made enough money to buy it a few days ago, it was finally time to give her the ring.

It was Saturday night and it was only Lauren and I at the hotel because Colton and Erich went on a date.

I wanted to do something special for Lauren. I only have a few minutes to set everything up while she's in the shower.

I grabbed a huge fluffy blanket Lauren bought me and put it on the couch. I then grabbed two wine glasses and poured some wine in them.

Once I was satisfied with how the area looked, I grabbed my phone and clicked on a playlist that consisted of romantic music, turning it on low.

I honestly didn't plan on sex tonight because I just wanted to spend time with Lauren and not undress her for once.

I was waiting by the bathroom as Lauren came out.

"You look cute first off." Lauren smiled, recognizing that I was wearing one of her shirts which looked oversized on me, "Second off, Mrs. Hernandez, what have you done here?" She walked over to the couch.

"I just wanted to spend some time with you." I bashfully said.

"I had no idea you had two sides to you. You can be really dominant and sexual but right now you're just being cute as fuck." Lauren chuckled.

"What can I say, you got the full package." I boasted.

"I sure did." Lauren flopped on the couch and pulled the blanket over her, "Join me?"

I sat on the couch facing her and sat under the blanket, tangling my legs with hers.

I grabbed both of our wine glasses from the table and handed her one, proposing a toast.

"To having an amazing relationship." I said as Lauren and I clinked our glasses together, taking a sip.

"You know, if someone told me I would be sitting here with an amazing girlfriend, living the life right now, I would think they're mental." Lauren chuckled.

"Me too babe." I looked at her with an adoring gaze.

We sat there in the moment talking about everything. It was completely perfect.

I then felt the moment was right to start my little plan for giving her the ring.

"Would you like to dance with me?" I charmingly asked.

"Of course." She cheesed at me.

I stood up and grabbed her hand, taking her to the empty part of the room, and turning up the music on my phone.

Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran was playing.

I put my arms around her waist and she put her arms around my neck. We swayed to the music as our faces were only inches apart and suddenly it felt like we were the only two in the world. The curtains were open on the big glass sliding door as the moon glowed on her skin; she had never looked more beautiful.

I put my forehead against hers and closed my eyes in the moment. It all felt perfect you know? Like I had a purpose to make this girl happy.

"I have something for you." I said, opening my eyes.

"What is it?" Lauren questioned.

"Let me get it." I replied sort of nervously, although I'm sure there was nothing to be afraid of.

I walked over to my bag, pulling out a box, making sure she couldn't fully see it yet.

I took a deep breath.

"So.. I've wanted to make a promise to you since the first week we met. No human being on this earth has ever made me as happy as you have." I turned around and walked over to her, "I love you so much Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado. I love the way the moon glows on your skin, the way you smile, the way you're always fixing your hair because your self conscious about it although you look beautiful, the way you kiss me, the way you hold me at night, the list goes on baby. The one thing I love most of all is how you never give up on me." I rubbed her arm as tears streamed down her face. "With that being said, will you take this promise ring from me so I can make this promise to you that I will always be by your side." I opened the box and smiled at her.

"Baby.." Lauren sobbed, "No one has ever treated me like you. Of course I will. I love you so much." Lauren threw her arms around my neck and sobbed into my shoulder.

As she pulled away, I grabbed her left hand and put the ring on her finger, smiling as it fit just right since I sized one of her other rings.

"This is my promise to you that one day, I want to marry you." I said truthfully.

She stared at me with wide eyes and she smiled with a quivering lip.

"I wait for the day." Lauren kissed me with all the passion in the world.
