I sat there on the floor for what seemed like a century before there was a knock at are door. I stumbled to get the door but my mom had beaten me to it.
"Excuse me mam' we would like to talk to your daughter." The voice sounded husky as if he was in his late thirties.
"Is their something wrong officer?" My hands were shaking and I tried to stay hidden behind the cabinet. What was going on? I couldn't take this anymore I had to know what was going on because my thoughts were beginning to consume me.
"Heather, Can you come here? This officer has some questions about Abigail." My mom called my name but I didn't want to come. I didn't want to know what was going on, and I didn't want to help. I wanted to be on my own.
I wiped my tears away, got up and walked over to my mom.
"Heather, Would you mind coming down town with a few other people for questions? If there is any question you feel you do not have to answer you are welcome not to."
I didn't speak, but followed after him and told my mom I would be home soon.
The station was cold like the night I was brought in. Images flashed through my head of that night, I began to feel a headache arising in my right temple.
They brought me into a small room with lights and a hidden camera. I didn't have to think twice before knowing that my voice would be recorded for everyone on this case to hear. I had to watch what I was saying.
"How long have you known Abigail?"
"This year"
"Were you guys close?"
"Yes, she trusted me with everything, but I wasn't as trusting"
"Was there a reason why?"
"No, just don't trust people that easy, kind of like you." I knew it was rude, but these questions were stupid and I could feel myself getting aggravated easily.
"Did you know of anything that she might not have told anyone? Anywhere she would go if she could?
Seriously what was wrong with these people, clearly if she didn't want people knowing why would she say anything.
"No, not that I knew of. I knew she smoked and drank if that helps?" I tried to play innocent but I could tell he was catching the sarcasm in my voice.
"What else happened that night at the party?"
"I'm not sure, I tried to avoid most of the people and the drinks, I remember her asking me if I wanted a drag of what she was taking. I tried it, but it was gross. Something compelled me to try again, but two too many sent me dizzy so I stopped. Girls were getting knocked up, people throwing up, like any other teen party. And then of course you guys show up and everybody runs."
"Yes you are right, But why didn't you run?"
"Didn't feel a reason to, It's not like I did anything wrong, and it probably would have been worse right?"
"But you still drank and smoke under age, I removed your blog from the web, I think that is all we need."
I walked out of the room furious. This guy had no right poking and prodding in my personal life and then just dismissing me.
I walked out of the room and into the waiting hall for my parents to pick me up.
As I was walking out I came across a file, Abigail's and decided to scan through it.
