Power outages

Everybody walked outside to the power box and checked to see if everything was alright. I tried turning the power back on but it wouldn't work.

"I don't want to sleep in the dark all night till the sun rises" the girls whined

"Oh don't worry you have us guys to protect you" I said

We all walked back inside when I got the perfect idea.

"Hey let's play hide and go seek. It'll be fun since it's in the dark" I said

Everybody agreed. I decided to count first while everybody hid. I walked around the house until I found Aaron, Shawn, Haven, Jack J, Aubree, Alexa, Hayes, Cameron, Emma, Erin, and Matt. I looked everywhere around the house with the one flashlight we had but I couldn't find Nash.

"Where Nash?" Alexa asked Worried

"Idk but let's keep looking" I said

We called out Nash's name but still couldn't find him. By this time everybody was getting tired so we just went back into the living room.

"Hey don't worry I'm sure Nash is just messing around with us all and will come out soon to Surprise us." I said

We all fell asleep for a while until I heard Alexa get up. I pretended like I was still sleeping but I was seeing what she was doing.

"Hey what are you doing?" I asked

"I'm looking for Nash. It's been almost 6 hours and I can't sleep without him I need to find him" she said

"Well at least let me help you" I said

We took the flashlight and the one candle we found. We looked around the house for a while until I heard some whimpering. I walked down into the basement into a closet and see blood dripping down his head and his eyes were barely open. I called Alexa over and she went back upstairs to wake everybody up. I helped Nash up when I saw a note right above his head

"Looks like hide and seek isn't very fun. Kisses xx"

Everybody came rushing down the stairs to see if Nash was okay. I showed the letter to Aubree and she put it in her back pocket.

"We have to get him to the hospital" I said

We grabbed some stuff and helped Nash into the car while I held him alive in the back seat while Aaron drove with the rest of us in the car. We got to the hospital and rushed Nash into the emergency room. The doctor took him into a room and inspected his head

"So what happened?" The doctor asked

"Well he went into the basement looking for some flash lights and caught his head on a nail" I explained.

Everybody looked at each other hoping the doctor would believe us.

"Well as I can see Nash is going to need about 20 stitches and when this heals he might have a scar going down his face" the doctor explained

Alexa and Hayes waited in the room with Nash while the rest of us Waited in the waiting room. We all sat there while Shawn brought us back some coffee to keep us all awake. Alexa walked out and gave us the news.

"Okay so Nash is going to be alright he was just knocked out for a while. The doctors are giving him stitches right now and then he'll be able to leave whenever he wants. But the thing is the doctor needs to talk to all of us...." Alexa said

We all continued waiting until the doctor walked out and told us Nash was done getting stitches. We all walked into Nash's room and waited for him to get ready to leave.

"So I was looking at Nash's cut and it looks like it was more than just a Nail that could have done this to him. Are you sure this was just a nail that did this?" The doctor asked

"Yeah. I'm sure. When I found him in the basement his head was right next to a nail that was a little bloody and sharp so I'm sure it was the nail." I explained

"Okay well just take care of him and I'm giving him pills to help the pain." He said

We all walked out and looked at each other.

"I'll take Nash to the pharmacy to get the pills" Aubree said

We all agreed while her and Nash walked away. The rest of us walked out to the car and got in to wait for the other two.

" I can't believe the doctor actually believed that" Hayes said

We all agreed and continued waiting. It was still about 4 am and everybody was really tired. Some of us tried to sleep in the waiting room but it was way to uncomfortable. Aubree and Nash finally got to the car after about 30 minutes. We made some room for them and drove off. We arrived back at the house and helped Nash out. Alexa and Aubree helped him into the living room on to the couch. The power was still out so we were all still camping out in the living room. Everybody laid down and instantly fell asleep.

We woke up the next morning to it being dark out and rainy. We didn't have much food for everybody to have so we had Alexa, Cameron, Matt and Erin go to the store to go grocery shopping. I turned on my phone with about %80 battery. I went onto the local news and it showed storms for the rest of the week and a flood coming soon with some lightning.

The rest of us sat down around the table and decided to question Nash about what happened to him.

"Nash we need you to tell us what happened last night" I said

"Well you started counting so I walked down to basement. You stopped counting and I still didn't have a hiding place so I went into the closet. I turned around in the closet and somebody shut it and covered my mouth. The person in there waited till you guys were done looking for me. Then she put something towards my face and the last thing I remember was blood going down my face" Nash explained to us

I could see everybody was a little frightened knowing now that whoever this was could now get into the house and do whatever they wanted to us. It's like we couldn't keep ourselves safe anymore. Not even locking the door would help. I looked over at Aubree and she was cuddled up in Hayes arms shaking.
