"But, Mom!" I shrieked. She rolled my suitcase to me. She didn't say a word to me. She spun around, all sassy like, and walked to her room. I grunted loudly and shouted, "Bye! I hope you miss me!" I picked up the suitcase handle, opened the door, walked out, and slammed the door behind me. I walked through town, a glare planted on my face. I finally reached the dock, where the boat was waiting. Cody, my partner, which I hate, was already boarding the boat. A girl and boy leaned against the railing. The boy waved and smiled at me. I smiled back, but didn't wave.

Don't these people know they're in a death trap?

I checked in and got my room key. There are only 12 rooms, looks like I'll be sharing. I walked down the hallway until I came across a room with the names Briely and Hallie on it. I opened the door to find a girl sitting on a bed, crying. I walked in quietly, set my suitcase down, and walked back out, not disturbing the girl. I guessed she was Briely. I walked around, until I turned a corner, walking smack into someone. "I'm sorry, this was all my fault." Said a boy with jet black hair and bright blue eyes. He had freckles, and you could tell he was from camp 1. I automatically hated him.

I fake smiled. "The name's Hallie, from camp 10."

"I'm Garrett, from camp 1." He said, "I better go catch up with Sydney, my partner. See you 'round?"

I nodded and continued walking. I soon came across a stairway which I guessed lead to the deck. I climbed it, taking my time. I saw a girl, who looked a lot like Garrett. Same freckles and bright eyes. I guessed she was his partner, Sydney. She was talking to Conner, who I've seen on my TV a few times back at home in camp 10. I sighed.

Will I even get to see camp 10 again? If I die, which probably will happen, I won't get to see my family, friends, or anyone else again.

I pushed the thought out of my mind and muttered to myself, "I'm going home, no matter what it takes."
