Alone in the office, they were both on their feet despite having enough seats for three. The atmosphere was ominously heavy as they stood in silence. From the tinted glass on the door, they would see the pub right outside. Sitting on the tall stool by the bar, a young silver haired child could be seen playing a game on his iPad with Bokuto, who was deeply engrossed into the game. Right across them was Akaashi, the bartender, who was preparing a milkshake for the child.

"How did you know where to find me?" Kuroo asked, his hands hidden in the pockets of his pants. A light throbbing sensation had begun in his temples. He hadn't seen her in years, he even told himself that they were never going to cross paths again. Yet, there she was, standing in the office with him.

"It wasn't all that difficult if your pub has been publicized in a more than one magazine. Congratulations on a successful business, by the way." She said, her arms crossed on her chest, a faint smile on her lips.

"I suppose that you're not here to congratulate me on my business, nor are you hoping to do business with me," Kuroo turned around to face her, his voice carried a demanding tone. "So, just why are you here?"

"You've never changed, still the same as ever. I wonder if that's a blessing or a curse." She sighed, hugging herself for comfort at his cold attitude.

"Answer me already," The bed haired male was starting to grow impatient.

"That child," She motioned her head toward outsides. "His name is Haiba Lev."

Haiba... He thought. That's her last name, isn't it? "And how does concern me?"

"That child is your child." She simply stated. "Our child."

"Don't screw around with me!" Kuroo snapped, his hands finally out of his pocket. The back of his throat felt dry and his palms were starting to grow cold. "Is this some trick for you to get something from me? I never thought you would stoop that low."

"Do the math, asshole!" She threw a piece of paper at his face, taking him by surprise. He picked up the paper with a growl before reading it. It seemed to be the birth certificate of Haiba Lev.

"The last time we met was 5 years ago." She reminded him, turning away as though wanting to hide her face from him. Events from 5 years ago replayed on their minds: how they were both younger and foolish, messing with each other's hearts the same way they would mess each other's hair in bed. How they decided that they couldn't commit to each other, or even themselves and decided to break it off after four months.

"He's turning five this year, my little Lyovochka," Her lips pulled into a loving smile at the thought of the young child.

Kuroo skimmed through the document she had thrown into his face. His heart stammered when he read his date of birth. Since he was in charge of the accounts and billings of the pub, he was exceptionally quick at math. Within a second, it clicked in his mind that the child could possibly be of his own. "You're lying..."

"I couldn't possibly be bothered to forge a birth certificate just to trick you, you idiot." She said. "Trust me, if I could help it, I would never allow him to cross paths with you ever, You would have no idea of his existence."

"Then, why now?" Kuroo asked, almost out of breath from shock. "Why did you suddenly show up? With a kid." He was starting to get light headed. Though it was the truth that he was one to fool around, he was always careful. Or at least, thats what he believed he was.

"I need your help, Kuroo." She stated earnestly, looking into his eyes pleadingly.

"My help?"

"Yes." She nodded, her facial expressions softened into a saddened and almost embarrassed one. "The truth is, I'm going through a divorce with my husband right now. We got married soon after Lev turned 4 and things haven't been able to work out since then. Things at home has been really tense at home because of the divorce and it's been taking a toll on Lev."
