Wings and Fangs (Levi x OC Attack on titan fanfic)

Chapter 2

It's been 5 years since then, back when I first enter inside this walls. The people never went outside because of the terror caused by the titans. I've learned so much about this place from them while I hid in the shadows. I don't feel the urge to deal so much with humans, I might end up revealing my true self again.

Three years ago, when the colossal and armored titans breached Wall Maria where I first lived, I had to evacuate to the inner walls. I ended up in a forest where no human until now have gone while I lived there. Well, there was a nearby castle but it was abandoned. I even prefer sleeping in the woods than there. The forest relaxes me and makes me feel comfortable. I rarely went to the town, only to gather some necessities like food. Yup, I stole it. I don't work so I don't have any money. But sometimes I pic-pocket to buy clothes. Well, nobody knows me for I always hid my face under my cloak.

"It's been so long now, huh?" I sighed, brushing my waist-length white strands before I jumped off the branch I was sitting at.

At the second my feet hit the ground, I heard noise that supposedly came from the pathway to the abandoned castle. It was more of like horse's footsteps. Intrigued of the rare situation, I followed the footsteps and ended up sneaking to a group of Recon Corps Soldier. I can tell it by their green cloak with a pair of wings.

"It was the former Recon Corps headquarters. It's nothing more than a renovated castle. Who would thought we'll end up using it again as your hideout?" a brown-haired old man said to a younger soldier with black hair and green eyes. "Don't get cocky, new blood."

But apparently he was such an old idiot that bit his tongue while talking too much. It was so hilarious, I had to cover my mouth or they'll notice me tailing them.

I followed them till they arrived at the castle, or should I say HQ.

"It's covered with weeds. It looks terrible."

"Well, it's been disused for a very long time. Inside, a sea of dust is probably awaiting us."

I heard two soldiers chit-chatted. Then, another one from their back stepped closer to the filthy castle.

'Ah, where did he came from? I didn't saw him earlier. Maybe because he's too small I haven't had a sight of him. The truth is he's actually taller than me a bit, but he's still short for an average man.'

That man had a raven black hair with an undercut, and his eyes was somewhat of dark blue or black. He wore a stoic face which I think is a little kind of hot, to be honest.

"That is indeed a severe problem. We must sort it out immediately." he said.

I eyed on them while they enter their HQ. No one have yet spotted me.

The following scene I saw was even more hilarious than the idiot who bit his tongue. Mr. Shortie transformed into Mr.CleaningHousewife-likeShortie! I saw him opened a window, princess-style, with a cloth on his head and another one covering his nose and mouth. He look absolutely funny! He went back inside to continue his cleaning, I also started going back to the forest with my hands on my stomach.

"Ouch.. haha.. my stomach hurts. I guess I laughed too much.. haha" I continued laughing.

As I was in the deepest of the forest, I started climbing up on a tree and grabbed my satchel above, hidden in the leaves. I opened it only to see it empty.

"What the! I'm out of food. Arghh, I need to go to the town again. So troublesome." I jumped down the tree, preparing to have my long walk to the town.

"Oh wait, for sure they'll have food there, in the Recon Corps HQ." I thought. "I guess I'll just have to wait for the night to come and sneak there."

The moon was now showing in the night sky.

"Ahh, such a beautiful moon, perfect for a sneaky stealing night." I sighed, putting my cloak on and my hood covering my face.

I made my way into the castle. After a little running, I finally arrived.

"Ohh, so clean now huh?"

I eyed the castle for a while, making sure that nobody will see me. Then I started sneaking into the Recon Corps HQ. I quietly pushed the front door but it was locked inside so I went to the open window and enter through it. Inside was surprisingly clean.

'They even managed to make here this clean. Impressive.'

I slowly walked through the place, searching for the kitchen. After minutes of searching, I finally found it.

"At last.." I sighed.

I looked through the cabinets and grabbed three breads and put it inside my bag. But then I heard the door being opened. It shook me that I drop my bag. At the door was a short brown (with a hint of orange) haired girl was standing, also in shock.

"THIEF!" she yelled.

I grabbed my bag from the floor.

"Damn it." I gasp.

I head towards the glass window on the other side of the kitchen that leads outside since she was blocking the other way out.

"Thank you for the food!" I teased.

I focused my strength in my legs and then jump out of the glass window, breaking it, with my hood still on. She tried to do the same but failed since she couldn't jump high enough like me and there was shattered pieces of glass.

"Come back here you thief!" she shouted.

"Yeah, yeah.. we'll see each other again. Haha!" I ran towards the forest till I reached my favorite spot.

I climbed my favorite tree and sat down.

"Okay~ Let's see what we've go-WHAT?! Only one bread?" I face palmed "I might have dropped the others back there. Argh, this means I need to go back there tomorrow night."
