"ISABELA BROOKS, WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE ON THIS FINE DAY?" The blonde haired boy asked as he looked at Izzy, who had been knocking incessantly on his door, waiting for him to open up. The brunette had been sitting here in the hallway waiting for what seemed like forever and would've left if it wasn't for her plan. Caspar was a key component, hence why she was eager for him to answer and was determined to talk to him.
"It took you long enough, you ghost," she muttered, watching as he chuckled softly and leaned against the door frame clad in a grey Nike shirt and bright fluorescent yellow shorts.
"Just for that comment I think I'll let you wait outside for a little while," he shook his head, beginning to close the door but instinctively she placed her hand on it, both surprising and stopping him in the process.
"I need your help, Caspar," she whispered, watching as he sighed, nodding in understand and opening the door wider, an action that signified that she could go inside. Izzy quickly rushed inside the open door, slipping off her shoes and watching as Caspar closed the door behind her. He led her towards the kitchen where she took a seat on one of his barstools, swerving back and forth slightly and watching as he opened the freezer to reveal tubs and tubs of Ben and Jerry ice cream. "Do I want to even ask?"
"It's just Joe and his hilarious pranks," he sighed, before looking at her and back at the ice cream. "Do you want to share a tub?"
"I'll help you out, Lee," she shrugged, seeing a victorious smile break out on his face before he picked up a cookies and cream tub and opened his drawer to fish out two spoons. He closed the freezer with his foot before passing a spoon to her and walking around the island to take a seat beside her. She used her spoon to dig out a heaping ton before popping it into her mouth. "That's actually why I came."
"You came to eat ice cream?"
"No, silly, I came here to talk about Joe."
"Oh," Caspar breathed out before spooning out a small portion of the flavoured ice cream and motioning for her to continue on.
"I'm assuming that he told you all about what happened."
"It was typical Joe, always looking out for others but never for himself," Caspar shook his head before looking at the brunette. "He definitely made a mistake by blocking you though."
"I need his address, Caspar," she cut straight to the point, watching as the spoon fell from his hand and clattered onto the counter.
"Izzy, I can't just go around giving out-" he started but she interrupted him quickly, her blue eyes conveying what she felt and how desperately she needed him in order to carry out the rest of her plan.
"It's me, Caspar. I need to talk to him, I need him to know how I feel."
"You really care about him, don't you?"
"What do you think?"
"I think I'm going to take that as a yes," he smiled softly at her, making her mirror his actions before looking down at the tub. "Are you going to bail on me?"
"I can't believe you think that," she muttered, frowning and clearly insulted by his words. Izzy took another spoon of ice cream and waved it around at him before sticking it in her mouth. "I'm committed until the end, Caspar."
The blonde haired boy chuckled at this before joining in once again. They say in the kitchen, facing each other and desperately eating ice cream, one for a purpose and one to just eat and get one tub out of many done. There were jokes involved and the typical banter back and forth which made Izzy laugh for the first time in many, many days.
